No credit card needed
There is no introductory APR like most other cards. No rewards program either. The good point is that many discounts are available with the card. Some can be combined. There are no exclusions in the sales i.e., certain brands, like other stores (Bealls). Overall a very good card if you strategically plan your purchases at times when you can take advantage of the various discounts.
A few weeks ago, the keyboard on my laptop was giving out. It was practically useless. I do a lot of work online, so this was a problem. I have a Best Buy card where I could purchase a keyboard, but the store is about three miles from the bus stop. There was a Walmart about half a mile in the other direction. I decided to try my luck there. They had something I could use, but I had very limited cash for my purchase and wanted wireless. The sales associate told me he could probably get me approved on the spot for a Walmart store card. I was approved, and only have the one Best Buy card in my credit history. The good news, I was able to buy the wireless keyboard and mouse combo I really wanted for $79 dollars and got $25 off my first purchase. Like getting the mouse free! Bad news, 22.9% interest. But I intend to pay it off in full when the bill comes.
This is a fantastic offer. No interest for 15 months? I've never seen a deal like this. The points you earn are substantially more valuable than most other card's plans, and there is no limit and they don't expire. Once the regular rate kicks in, it is about on par with my other cards. I can save hundreds by transferring all my balances to it and paying them off during the 0% period. I am applying.https://wallethub.com/d/blue-american-express-credit-card-41c/
I like the 0% rate for 15 months on this card. It is one of the longest intro periods I have heard of. The regular rate is kind of high. I also like that if you make $1,000 in purchases You earn 7,500 points ($100 in travel credit). The balance transfer fee is also advantageous for any cards (which are all of them for me) that have an interest rate over 3% (I see mention of no interest on transfers). I believe I will apply for this and transfer my other cards balances (which have interests of 14 to 21%) to it and use the Blue Sky American Express card exclusively for all charges where possible for the next 15 months.
I opened an account with Texas National recently. It was a checking account with a debit card. There are absolutely no monthly fees and no minimum balance. All electronic transfers are free too. The service is great. Everyone is helpful and friendly. My debit card was promised in 7 to 10 working days and actually arrived a day early. Electronic transfers to my account post on the next business day. I am happy to be a client. This is a small bank with no national or statewide presence, but I would recommend this bank for anyone that lives in their service areas, Mercedes and Edinburg.
