I opened my account with Metropolitan Federal Credit Union around 4 or 5 months ago when college started back up. The closeness to the community college was what made even check Metropolitan Federal Credit Union out. The customer service is excellent. There is a very personal touch that these employees add. The rates are good and the checking account that I have is very easy to use and understand. There are no hidden fees and everything that is fee associated is clearly laid out.
The Goodyear Store Card has its pros and cons. Pros: The Goodyear Store Card is a good card to carry when you are in need of making a larger purchase like tires and cannot afford them at the moment. With this card there is a 28 day grace period. There is also no over limit fee. The Goodyear Store Cardholder also recieves special discounts, promotions, coupons and special offers. Cons: Like any other store card the APR is high coming in at 28.99 %. There are no balance transfers to this cards. Overall: I would only would recommend this card if you really need to carry for instore purchases.
The Chase Slate card offers a great balance transfer rate, 0 % for the first 15 months. After the 15 month period the new APR is 12.99%, 17.99%, and 22.99%. This is a great option to have for those with higher APR's on other cards. The Chase Slate card is also offered to those with good credit instead of just excellent. Another perk of this card is that the is $0.00 annual fee for holding this card. If you happen to be late on a payment the max late fee is $35. In other cards I have seen as high as a $50 late fee.
Hello Hub, I have been banking with US Bank for about three months now and thus far it has been pretty smooth. There are some pros and cons though. When I opened my account I had a block on my debit card and had to make counter withdrawals. Even though I had money in my savings as an added precaution, the branch in which I opened my account places a 60 day hold on the account or a hold until the first direct deposit hits. This was not something that was disclosed in my agreement at the time of opening so please be sure to check at your local branch. Other than that the only other issues I have is with the app. To deposit a check via the app it charges $0.50 per check. This may not be much but other banks do not charge this fee. Every problem or question I have ever had has been resolved promptly and accurately. I now hold a savings and checking account with this bank. There are also perks. Once you reach $1000 in savings you earn a $50 reward and once you save $1000 for a year you get another $50. It may seem small but hey it's an extra 50.
I opened an account with Blue Ridge Bank and Trust when I was 16 and still bank with them. They have great staff at my local branch who are more than willing to help out with anything you need. They are very knowledgeable and will help you out even in hard times. I have also had to deal with fraud issues on my account and my bank helped me every step of the way. They are the ones who called me because they noticed irregular activity on my account. Most people dread going to the bank. Not with this company. I looked forward to making deposits, withdrawals, and Christmas club. The tellers and managers are great and make you feel like family.
The Radio Shack Store Card is a nice card to own. It offers a card with no annual fee, and 6 months no interest if paid in full with $150 minimum or 12 months no interest if paid in full $300 minimum purchase. There are not a lot of bells and whistles but this could be a great way to finance a large ticket electronic item. Radio Shack Store Card also offers 15% off on store batteries. This can equal out to a great deal. If you have smaller children think Christmas and birthdays. This card also has a 25 day grace period which is great.
The BankAmericard Power Rewards Visa Signature Credit Card seems to be a great card. However, those with less than perfect credit may not qualify for it. There is a $50 cash back bonus after $500 in purchases within 3 months. There is a 0% liability for fraudulent purchases and it offers chip technology and over draft protection, The grace period is 25 days which is nice as well. Another perk is that reward begin at just 2,500 points. You also earn points on everyday purchases such as gas, grocery, and drug store. The card has no annual fee and unlimited points per year.
The Hyatt credit card is a great steal for those who travel frequently. There is an annual fee of $75 but that is offset by the 1 free room on your anniversary of holding the card. The 29.99% APR is somewhat high but if you are paying balances and gaining rewards this is not an issue. There is no foreign transaction fee, which is a plus when traveling abroad. Also, with the great perk offered you can process balance transfers and cash advances if needed. I also love the fact that you earn points on everything that you purchase and extras on restaurants, hotels, car rentals and airlines.
I love the fact that the First PREMIER Bank Platinum Credit Card is an unsecured card for bad credit. The con of this card is the first annual fee, one time fee, and APR. However if you are looking to get back on your feet and re-establish credit this is the way to go. A perk of this card is that once you are eligible for a credit limit increase, First Premier will do a 25% increase. There is also another good thing about this card, the monthly fees are $0.00 for the first year after that the monthly fees are only $6.25. Many other unsecured cards for bad credit can charge up to $25 per month in fees.
I have been with this credit union for a few `months now and I completely happy with my choice. The process was very easy and the customer service it great. Terms are disclosed with confidence and thoroughly. I would recommend anyone to bank here. I am thinking of taking out a loan to purchase a vehicle. I will come back and review if so. I also have a saving account, my children have The Kids Club accounts which you can open with $5 and must get to $25 within a month, Then my favorite option of all Holiday Club. You set a certain amount to be direct deposited each pay period into the account.
I joined Mazuma Credit Union a few years ago and have never had a problem. Actually quite the opposite; they have always corrected any errors and caught any fraud attempts. There have been a time or two that the customer service wasn't what was considered top-notch but the tellers have never been rude. I have a linked checking and savings account and savings accounts for my 4 children. Also, I have a Holiday Savings account which allows me to save for Christmas and birthdays. With the many savings options those who are rebuilding or just starting their credit can plan accordingly and stay on task. I will be taking out a vehicle loan within the next 6 months and plan on staying with this company for many years to come.
