The Capital One VentureOne rewards card is pretty great. I have been using it for a while and have almost no complaints. While there is no cash back, they give you a 20,000 mile bonus if you spend up to $2,000 in your first three months. After that, they give you 1.25 miles per $1 that you spend, so points can add up quickly. They also let you fly on any airline without any blackout dates, which has personally come in handy. Another thing I enjoy about the bonuses is that they let you redeem you miles for hotel rooms, which everybody should do in my opinion.
After going through a lot of trouble to get my boat insured previously, I am glad I found Hub International when I did, and I have nothing bad to say about them. Their customer service is exceptional, but where they really shine is their coverage. I was able to get full coverage for a small price, making me a very happy customer. Hub international is ranked among the 10 largest insurance brokers, which is what brought me to them in the first place, but they still have a small office feel to them which puts me at ease. I love Hub international, and I can see myself doing business here for years.
There was a time when I absolutely needed a place to bank, and New Bedford Credit Union gave me that and more. I was looking for convenience and service as well, and I was amazed at what was given to me. New Bedford Credit Union has trained their customer service people well, as they are always going above and beyond. I remember having trouble with my card and they immediately sent me another one and had me come in to see what they could do for me on the spot. I am extremely happy about stumbling on New Bedford Credit Union.
I remember switching to Plymouth Rock a while ago, hoping to get better customer service than the bigger companies I’ve dealt with in the past. From the moment I signed up, I got what I was looking for. They provide a level of customer service I have never seen before, and it seems like they shower you with instant discounts and rewards the moment you sign up. They handled all my needs well, and they did it online and in person, which was exactly what I was looking for. It is easy to tell they appreciate their customers, which is why I tell everyone that they are missing out by not having Plymouth Rock as their insurance provider.
I went into St. Anthony’s of New Bedford credit union needing a personal loan, having an open mind. I was looking for a personal loan, but I was not expecting to get it. I got much more than I bargained for as soon as I stepped in the door. The customer service was off the charts, and there was a warm vibe coming from the building as a whole. They are excellent at making you feel like you are the only customer in the place, and their services are just as good. They even offered a loan special, 3.99% APR for 11 months for a $2,500 maximum. Compared to the other places I have been, I really liked this offer. Customer service and offers together, this place is hard to beat.
I gave Liberty Mutual a shot about 5 months ago after endlessly searching for a car insurance company I could trust. I called them up and got a quote quickly, which was a nice change of pace. I didn't think I would accomplish much in one phone call, but in nearly 20 minutes I was already on my way to being fully insured. Usually I am skeptical about all the paperwork, but my Liberty Mutual Agent handled it all very well, and I was on my way to driving legally in literally one day. If I had to do it all over again, I would have started at Liberty Mutual and saved myself some time.
The Blue Cash Everyday card from American Express has a nice overall feel to it, starting with no annual fee. It gets a little better with its bonus plan, giving back $50 after you spend $1,000 within the first three months. They also specialize in incentives, offering new signups Amazon Prime for a year after spending $1,000 in the first 3 months. The Blue Cash Everyday card also offers 3% cash back at US supermarkets on up to $6,000 per year. This is a great card for people who find themselves spending a lot of money on groceries.
The Capital One Venture Rewards credit card is great because the annual fee is $0 for the first year. I do not like that it jumps up to $59 on the second year, though. I think the bonus program is exceptional for travelers, because spending $2,000 gets you 20,000 bonus miles, which is fantastic. The downside, of course, is that you have to rack up $2,000 within the first 3 months to get it. But there are no limits on the miles you can receive after that, so it all works out. Overall, the card's value is excellent.
The name of the card, the Shell Gas Card, may be a little misleading because you can use it for much more than gas. The best thing about the Shell Gas Card is that you are able to earn 10% cash back when staying at specified Hotels as well as earn 5% cash back on air lines and car rentals. The cash advance rate is 29.95%, which I would personally look to avoid. Overall, I think it is a great card if used on vacations.
I like the idea of Cabela’s credit card, even though you need excellent credit to obtain it. There is also no annual fee, which makes it even more attractive. You receive a good initial bonus of $35, and also a base and max bonus which I like a lot for long term use. Having a free online service sells me further. There is no max overlimit fee, which makes me feel comfortable using it. The best part about this card is that it was designed specifically for people who shop at Cabela’s, because that is where a shopper sees the most bonus points and savings. Overall, the card is very good to have. 4 stars for me.
