Since I have opened an account with 1st Bank 1st Free Checking I have had an awesome experience. I have the benefit of not having to worry about monthly fees and what not with this bank. It is nice knowing that I am not being charged for letting a bank hold on to my money! The service reps that I have dealt with have been nothing but nice and have made sure that I knew everything that I needed to know. The application process was very easy and there are not any hidden complications or fees that become applicable down the line.
Fift Third Bank is almost as good as they come as far as credit unions are concerned. The only area that I have experienced problems in is how they handle their problems. It might have been the individual that I spoke to, but they were not helpful at all. Once I got through to a manager, my problem was resolved in a timely manner and without much difficulties. Other than that though, they are great. I pay a very low fee monthly but I am not charged the high withdrawal fee that a lot of other banks charge these days. Compared to most other credit unions, Fifth Third Bank is above average.
McCoy Federal Credit Union has been a pleasure to bank with since I opened an account three months ago. My personal banker helped me set up an account and made sure that I had all the options that I needed. I use my account mainly for checking and savings and it was a pleasure to find out that I was not going to have to deal with monthly fees or being charged for making withdrawals. The savings and checking accounts are really easy to manage and I have not had any issues at all. Compared to other banks, McCoy is at the top of my banking experiences.
Prudential Insurance really came through for me when I needed them. I signed up for my home insurance hoping to cover in case of future hurricanes and am glad I did. When our house had a tree fall through the roof we had no problems with Prudential Insurance taking care of it. The process was really fast and they did not give us any hassles! I had heard from friends that it was hard to get these things covered and taken care of, but that was not the case with Prudential Insurance. The customer service people are always nice and my agent always answers any questions that I have.
The General Insurance really came through for me when I was looking for new insurance. I needed something that was not going to cost me a fortune yet still offered me decent coverage and The General Insurance covered that. The application process took very little time at all and my agent walked me through the whole process and answered all of my questions. When I was rear-ended. the process was very simple to get my car repaired and my agent took care of almost every paper that needed to be sent between the insurance companies. The General Insurance has been one of the best insurance companies that I have used.
I was looking for a bank to get a savings account through and decided to go with Regions Bank since they offer some of the best rates in my area. My banking agent through Regions was not the most helpful but we eventually got the account that I wanted set up and running and so far it has been good. They do charge you a monthly fee on the savings account if you do not deposit a certain amount. That has been the only negative thing so far with Regions. My agent did not explain this to me and when I asked why not she told me that "I should've already known that" since it is a common feature. They could work on their customer service a bit.
After a bad experience with Bank of America I decided to try out a checking account through State Farm Bank. I can honestly say that this was one of the best decisions that I have ever made. They offer free withdrawals, no monthly fees, and have GREAT customer service. I never have to worry about hidden fees or an extra charge for allowing them to hold my money. My banking agent was very helpful in setting up my account and made sure that I had everything that I needed. She did not try and make me sign up for services that were not needed and helped me to avoid monthly charges for services that I did not need.
So far I have not had any problems with Direct General Insurance. I was in a wreck two months ago that was not my fault and they paid for everything. My insurance rates did not go up at all and I only had to pay $100 out of $5,000 worth of damages. My agent handled all of the paper work and it was a very simple process overall. My agent walked me through all of the information that I needed to send and kept the process very simple. She even helped me to find the office to drop the forms off to so that I would not have to mail them. I plan to keep using Direct General for the time being.
I have had an awesome experience with Fairwinds since I moved to Orlando 3 months ago. The application process for my checking account went smoothly and so far I have not been hit with any unnecessary charges or fees. My personal banker has been very helpful in giving me information on car loans that I am thinking about getting. She has walked me through all of the information that I will need to provide and has even shown me a few tricks to get a better interest rate! Fairwinds has been a pleasure to bank through so far and I look forward to continuing my services with them.
The Citi Forward Card for College Students is a decent card for student that have limited credit history. I have used it for about 6 months so far and have not had any problems. The intro rate of 0% is helpful and even after the introduction period the interest rate is not that high. The cash advance feature is very helpful in cases of emergency and it has already gotten me out of one jam when I had car troubles! The interest rate on the loan feature is at around the normal range as other cards. This card is great for all students who are looking to build their credit.
One of the best things about the Citi Simplicity Card is the fact that you pay NOTHING in interest on purchases made in the first 18 months. You will not find many cards that will be able to beat this. Add in the 0% interest rate on transfers and you have one of the best cards that are around right now. I tell all my friends about this card when they ask for my advice on credit cards. They have all loved it, as do I. I will continue using this card even after the intro period is over, as the interest rate is still one of the lowest around.
