I run a photography business. I do a lot of commercial photography and because of this I have to have a lot of forms and paperwork. I keep my office stocked with my Office Depot card because it is a great way to keep track of my office expenses. I normally get everything paid off before the grace period runs out. If I didn't handle it that way, I would wince at the APR. When I first got the card it was nice to use the additional 10% off and I stocked up on quite a bit of things that I knew I would be needing. It really does work nicely at tax time because I have most of my office expenses right in one place and I don't have to go scrambling looking for receipts from several different stores. It also helps me because I have gotten to know where everything is in the local store. I don't have to go traipsing all over a different store because I automatically know that I will go to the Office Depot for all of my office supplies.
I like this card simply because I get 10 points for every dollar I spend on playstation store purchases. It works out pretty nicely. I still get points added up for other purchases made like any other credit card. Since I usually spend a decent amount of money at the playstation store it is a win-win situation for me. With the generous initial 0% interest period, I am not sure why people are rating this card so poorly. You can rack up a lot of points in the first several months and not have to pay a dime of interest. You are also not required to pay an annual fee. I think too many times people get credit cards that they do not understand. This is a great card with typical benefits and a couple of added benefits. It may not be for everyone, but it is not a bad card by any means.
The Wells Fargo Rewards Credit Card, compared to some of my other credit cards seems to be a good deal. I really like the fact that I can get up to 5 points for every dollar I spend on gas and groceries. That is a large percentage of what I use a credit card for and this will really rack up in the first 6 months. Some of my other cards still have blackout dates for travel redemption, and this card does not have any blackout dates. This is a major plus for me. Otherwise it seems to stack up pretty closely with my other credit cards.
I really like this card. $100 after only spending $500 in the first 3 months is a nice little bonus. I like the fact that you know you get 1.5% back on everything you spend. You don’t have to try to figure out what you should use the card for because you get the same amount regardless of what the purchase is. It has a decent rate available and you can’t beat the 0% introductory rate. It is also nice to see that you don’t have to wait for specific times or amounts before you are able to redeem your cash back. It is also great that you don’t ever have to worry about your cash back balance expiring. This makes it a great way to really put away some extra money for a specific project.
I love having this card in my wallet. Guitar center has some amazing deals sometime, and they don’t always have them when I have the extra cash to buy them up. That’s when this card comes in handy. The rates and fees are in line with other store cards, and this one allows me to snatch up those one of a kind deals that I often times find at Guitar Center. It’s also great on those occasions when you are going to be playing a gig and something breaks on you. Things always break when its financially impractical for them to break. This card has gotten me out of several jams and allowed me to get some great deals on some great gear. Over all I say it’s a keeper.
I think most people commenting do not fully understand the way an American Express card works. You pay a modest annual fee. It works out at about $10 a month. The first year is free. After that, you make purchases throughout the month, and pay it off in full at the end of the month. When you do that, you are not charged any interest at all on those purchases. If you use your card, as designed, you will not pay interest on your purchases – that’s why the $125 annual fee is so understandable. American Express makes most of its money from the merchant fees they collect. That is why this card is so desirable and exclusive. It’s not meant to be a long term financing option. Short term unlimited borrowing is what this card is intended for.
I really like the fact that you can get a 30,000 initial bonus after $1000 in charges. Add to that 4 night stay the initial 2 nights free that they give you…that’s almost a whole week free! If you travel frequently, this card is a no brainer. It won’t take long at 3 points to rack up more free nights as you travel. The 10 nights credit towards Elite status is a nice perk too. Again if you travel regularly you will be able to reach Elite quicker, affording you the extra status perks 10 nights quicker! Its got a really great rate too.
One of my favorite benefits of this card is the fact that I get an additional 30 days to return items to Target. It is also nice that I get 5% off of all of my purchases with Target and Target.com. Speaking of Target.com, you also get free shipping when you check out using your target card. We buy most of our toiletries from Target and the 5% savings really comes in handy. You can also stack your 5% every day savings with your 5% pharmacy rewards certificates and really save money on your prescriptions. All in all, this is a great card to have in your wallet.
I love the fact that the Chase Freedom Visa actually gives you real cash back for your initial deposit. In addition to that, you get 15 months with 0% interest! The regular rate is below what I pay on most of my other cards as well. Another key bonus to this card is the fact that they offer rotating categories that you earn either 1% or 5% cash back on. This is great because some cards only offer a set category that you enjoy the larger rewards on. This way, if you happen to not spend much on a category, you will still have a chance to earn the 5% cash back occasionally.
I applied for and received this card a couple of months ago. I really enjoy being able to show my love of football every time I take this card out of my wallet. I chose the Falcons, as they are my team. I got a decent rate on this card, and I really enjoyed the 10,000 point bonus I got when I charged my initial $500 on this card. That was an extra nice bonus. I really like that when I buy stuff for game days I get double points for my purchases at NFLshop.com in addition to the fact that I get 20% off of my total order when I shop there! For a football fan, this is a win-win credit card.
When I lived in Charlotte, NC, I was with Bank of America, and we had a savings account with them. I was pleased with the service that we received. As with all banks these days, you are not going to get rich with a savings account, but the rates at BOA seem to be competitive. It is certainly better than having it in checking and earning nothing at all! (or accidentally spending it because you can't tell what you mean to save and what you mean to spend). The online banking feature worked very well, and helped me keep up with balances, deposits, and withdrawals very easily. If you are serious about saving, BOA's savings accounts are a great place to start. They are a solid bank, in these worrisome times, and that is always a top consideration when you are deciding where to place your money!
I have had this card for a while now, and even though the interest rate is not great, it is a must have. With a 9 year old and a 2 year old, its nice when birthdays and/or Christmas comes up, it is very nice to have a Toys R Us card available to use! I try to get it paid off fairly quickly because of the interest rate, but it is great to use in a crunch. I have also been known to use this when a birthday party for one of my kids pops up out of no where! Customer service seems adequate, though I have only called them a couple of times. Hold time was not excessive, and the staff seemed friendly and helpful. I have never gotten a rude customer service agent - which is saying a lot!
I have banked with TIC FCU off and on for the past 15 years. Whenever I move back to Columbus, GA, I always come right back to TIC. They are very customer centric, and I have always felt like I was a person, rather than a number. It really has that hometown bank feel to it! The tellers seem to get to know you by your name quickly (maybe they have a specific training program for that, because they are better at it than most banks). When I have had after hours issues, I have been able to get things resolved with their 800 number, of course, when the branch is open it is always a breeze to get things handled inside the branch. Overall, based on customer service and my experience with their banking products (Mainly checking accounts and savings accounts) I would highly recommend this credit union.
I really like this card because it offered me a chance to transfer my balance from another card to this one with no fees and no interest for 15 months. It was great, because the balance transferred can be easily paid off before that 15 month period has ended. I also am enjoying the first 15 months of purchases at 0% interest! To me this is a great deal. It’s very easy to keep you plan in place to ensure that the card is paid off by the end of the first 15 months, because you don’t have to take into account how much interest they will be charging. Once the interest does kick in, it is still a reasonable rate, so it is a win-win situation.
I purchased an older home recently, and decided to apply for a Home Depot Card. The application was painless, and the approval was quick. It was a real life saver to help me keep up with expenses as I remodeled the home. The interest rate was not bad, and so far the little interaction I have had to have with customer service has been above average. With the 6 months interest free feature, I have plenty of time to make sure everything gets paid off, but still track it all differently from my other expenses that I have using my regular debit card. It also makes it nice if you lose a receipt….they can easily look your purchase up for a return if you pay with this card!
I have had several Auto Loans with Suntrust, and I have to say that I have been very pleased with them. One time I needed to push off a payment, and they happily pushed it off to the end of the term. The people that I dealt with were almost always friendly. There was a local branch available, so I was able to pay the loan payments online and in person, as well as over the phone. It has been my experience that the people that work at Suntrust respect their clients, and treat them as human beings instead of numbers and/or problems. I believe that Suntrust is more of a regional (Southeast) bank instead of a national bank chain. This may be one of the things that really helps it perform so well.
I have this checking account, and I am fairly happy with the features of the checking account. However, Wells Fargo, as an institution is not very good with their customer service. One major problem that I have is that they tell you that your deposit will be available on day x. What they really mean is that on day x at MIDNIGHT, your funds will be available. This has caused me several problems, and they are never willing to do anything about it, and are always rude about it. One good feature that I have enjoyed, however, is being able to deposit a check over the internet by taking a picture of the check with their mobile app. I have used this feature several times, and I must say, that it is very nice. Overall, if they could improve their customer service, this account would be a great account and I would recommend it. If customer service is not important to you, it would also be great.
