The Amazon store credit card is one of my favorite store cards. I shop on Amazon at least once every week and I gain a lot of points. You can use these reward points to give yourself discounts on Amazon purchases, which is really great!
I recommend people to use the Amazon Chase Rewards Card. This store card is one of the best I've used as far as online store cards go. The points you collect will make you happy.
Being a homeowner, having a store card for Home Depot is super helpful. Store cards typically do have a high interest rate, but if you are responsible and pay your credit card bills on time, it’s no big deal at all. I buy most of my yard and garage items at Home Depot and I simply love this card. I have not found another store card similar to the home depot one that provides me with what I need. I would recommend this card to everyone.
Overall, I really like this bank and the way they carry themselves. I'm mainly speaking for the employees and their helpfulness when you go and sign up for a card or a new service. Their customer service is top-notch. What I don't like about the Lower East Side People's Federal Credit Union is their ridiculous fees, granted, you will never see these fees if you pay everything on time and never have a check bounce, but everyone makes mistakes. I feel as if a credit union should have the responsibility to not rip people off as other big banks do, but they have to make their money somehow I guess.
Bank of America is one of my favorite banks. Living in NYC, there are ATMs literally everywhere you go within a few blocks of one another. I have a checkings, savings and credit card account at this bank. I really like the checkings account here because although there is a $12 monthly fee, it is not charged if you have at least one direct deposit coming in for $250 each month, which is extremely easy when you're working. When you are a student, this fee does not occur at all which is super helpful while in school. Whenever I have problems with my card, I call and they are immediately resolved so customer service is top-notch.
The Brooklyn Cooperative Federal Credit Union is one of my favorite credit unions. They are conveniently located in Bushwick, Brooklyn and have some of the friendliest staff that I ever met. When I went there to sign up for a card, they carefully explained to me all of the perks and features and how they differ from a normal nationwide bank. The application process was seamless; I was in and out within a half hour and got the deal that I wanted on my card. I highly recommend this credit union to anyone currently living in Brooklyn, NY. I am using this credit union mostly for my savings.
This card is a no-brainer if you are a shopper at Brooks Brothers. You can get up to 4 points per dollar when you shop online or at their stores. The rewards on it are enough for anyone to get this card. The rates for balance transfer and purchases are fair. Cash Advance and Balance transfer are a bit high, but that’s expected from any card. The Brooks Brothers Credit Card has treated me well as someone who shops there at least once a month. I would recommend it for anyone who wants that classy and professional look. Great credit card.
When I first heard about the Macy’s Store Card, I was super excited. As someone who is always shopping at Macy’s and seeing all the deals I could end up getting, I thought it was a good deal. Fees seem fair on this card and you don’t get any bonuses from shopping. You do receive special coupons in the mail that can be used with your card, but they are not all that useful. I like this card when there’s a sale, but when buying normal items, it is best to use a card that can accumulate points for future use.
The Carnival Credit card is your average card with just a few perks available to its users. The max penalty is a bit high, although the base APR seems to be fair. The bonus rewards are a little enticing, but you can only earn double fun points if you are spending it on the Carnival Cruise Line. There's no annual fee on this card which is always a good thing so that's something to look out for. If you are someone that does a lot of foreign transactions, I would stay away from this card because of the hefty fee on that service.
I recently signed up with the Teacher’s Federal Credit Union and I love it so far. The application process was seamless and the bank attendant that helped me through the process actually seemed like they cared. One of the things that I appreciate most about the Teacher’s Federal Credit Union is the fact that you don’t need a minimum for a checking’s or saving’s account. The only difficulty with this bank is the availability when leaving Long Island. I’ve had this account for a month so far and I plan on sticking with it for at least a few years.
I really like the point-reward system of the Sony Capital One card, especially as a person who likes his fair share of Sony products. Penalty APR is kind of high, but if you're responsible with credit cards, this shouldn't really be an issue. I'll definitely consider applying for this card. My current credit card is a Bank of America Mastercard and the only rewards it has is 1 point per dollar, this one has a much better deal! I like anything Sony related so I will definitely look into applying for this card. I think I would make much use of it! Looking forward to the mass amount of points that I plan to accumulate.
