I started an account with US Bank because my primary bank was not located in my city and I would have to drive to get to a bank. However, after using US Bank for about a year I went back to my other bank because my US Bank account was a pain. I mostly do all of my banking online, but their system is often down. Even when the site is up it is a pain to use. It is difficult to navigate and confusing. When I went to transfer money between my accounts I could not figure out how, and still do not know how. I went back to my original bank and am much happier for it.
I really enjoy this savings account, as someone in college this easy to maintain savings account has worked very well for me. I enjoy how easy it is to set up and move funds between savings and bank account. The online feature, being able to deposit cash easily is something major that made me stay with this bank. I also have a U.S. Bank account however I only really use my Wells Fargo, for both savings and regular banking. The ease at which it can be used makes other banks seem not as up to par. The five dollar monthly fee associated with this account is small enough that even when I cannot pay the 300$ to avoid the fee, the fee is so small that I do not mind paying it.
The Crate and Barrel Store Card does not seem like it is worth it. The APR on it is massive and it does not seem worth it to get 10 dollars back on a 200 dollar purchase. So unless you are able to pay off all of your merchandise quickly that money is going to add up. There is, however, financing available but, you have to purchase $999 to qualify. Given all the facts on this credit card, even for a store card it does not seem worth it. Too little rewards and yet too many drawbacks. I would rather just use a regular rewards credit card, than this Crate and Barrel Store Card.
This is a very good card, especially if you shop, often on amazon. The points really add up when you use your credit card and the redemption value at amazon is fairly good. At first, when I was saving up a certain item, with points from the card, I found the credit card fairly frustrating. Now I very much enjoy it. I don't have a great credit rating and I still do not pay a lot in percentage wise. I also got a pretty high limit which was pretty nice when I was stuck between financial aid payments. The introductory 0% was also extremely helpful for me as this was my very first credit card. I would highly suggest this card to anyone just starting out.
