This card looks like an awesome way to repair credit and earn some cash back. Capital One is a fabulous company for repairing credit or starting it. When I was a student they were the only credit company to take a chance on me. This is an awesome card with a decent interest rate and 1.5% cash back. The Capital One Quicksilver Cash Reward Card is worth applying for to have no annual fee and an opportunity to build/rebuild credit. I'm definitely a fan.
This Limited Store Card is really competitive with other store cards I have/have researched. I love the fact it has no annual fee AND no over limit fee. That in itself is going to make me apply for it. I also think the fact that they give a birthday discount over the entire MONTH is great! Nice to have someone acknowledge my birthday and give me a present of a discount. I hope I'm approved, this looks like an advantageous and profitable venture.
Many, many years ago I traveled to Chicago, and visited my first Saks Fifth Avenue. They offered me their credit card and I took it, for the variety of fashionable items was just too much for my checking account. The interest rate is competitive, and Saks has raised my credit limit many times over the past decade. Their customer service is absolutely outstanding, and they offer special discounts for cardholders. My Saks card and I have had a wonderful relationship and it's a card I would suggest to, well, anyone who buys anything.
This is one of the few store cards that I truly was excited about being approved for in the 90s and I'm still happy to have today. Their credit backing was somewhat discerning and many of my friends couldn't get this card but I could, and that was fabulous for getting me through some sticky situations in life. Because Sears has everything, I have been able to charge costly repairs to my vehicle that I wouldn't have been able to afford on the spur of the moment. My dad worked for Sears so I was biased to the company anyway, but their service has been outstanding and I have yet to experience a late or overlimit fee. The interest rate leaves something to be desired, but it seems pretty standard for store credit.
I love the fact that the College Visa does not have an age limit on it, and actually relates to whether or not you're IN college. I'm a returning non-traditional college student, and they let me have the benefits of a better interest rate (19.8%) than I could otherwise get on my own because of my own previous mistakes.
I have used GTE Financial since it was GTE Federal Credit Union back in 1997. I worked for Honeywell and that was the credit union that they utilized. They have decent interest rates for savings accounts, nothing really to write home about, but their customer service is outstanding. I keep a savings account with them now, and I enjoy the service I receive and the interest rate. I would recommend them over most banks just because their loan rates have a tendency to be better. All in all, a nice credit union to deal with, I enjoy the personalized service, and the interest rates offered for my savings account.
The convenience of this card is awesome, the fees are outrageous. It's nice to use for money transfers with Money-Pak and my WEX account, but that's about it. It fees for everything and it's honestly cheaper to go somewhere like a check cashing places than use these cards regularly.
Victoria's Secret offered me a credit card, and it is by far one of the best accounts I've had. The interest rate is high, but that is true of just about any "in-store" credit. I love the fact that I get exclusive card-holder offers that save me money on items I would already buy. The customer service I have had with them is also outstanding, I have had more than one fee waived for extenuating circumstances. I love the fact that Victoria's Secret is pretty much everywhere, so if for some reason I find myself without underthings on a trip or vacation, the solution is easy to come by!
Capital One is my hero for my credit card concerns. When I was a student, making nothing to speak of, they offered me credit. Granted, it wasn't the best interest rate initially but that changed with time and effort. Capital One is awesome about reviewing credit for limit increases and lower interest rates, and their customer service is outstanding. I don't have the world's best credit but sometimes my payment history on this card is my saving grace, and I think it's awesome that this company can afford to take risks on individuals like myself. Sometimes it pays off for both parties! I would (and have) recommended Capital One to friends and family.
I love to shop at Dillard's for just about everything. Their store card has been a blessing to me, which I've had for the past 18 years. They actually extended my credit back in 1996 starting at a mere $500 and the relationship has built from there. I was impressed and surprised that such a reputable store took a chance on a student since they really don't have to being their size. Their customer service is always outstanding and I have enjoyed my financial relationship with them thoroughly. Throughout the years my credit limit has increased and my interest rate is now almost non-existent, even with a less than perfect payment history.
