I switched to this bank when I moved to Minnesota. I heard great things about it, but now I know that they aren't true. I signed up with the bonus program that promised 50 if I set up direct deposit. I have yet to receive that money, and it has been nearly a year. Also, the fees that are charged to use my card at ATMs are a little ridiculous. It's about 4 dollars, compared to 2 at my previous bank. The customer service is ok, but at the end of the day I wish my previous bank had branches in Minnesota because Wells Fargo is highly disappointing.
This is the worst insurance company I've ever went with. They have horrible customer service. they are notorious for not answering the phone and when someone finally does they are rude or incompetent, sometimes both. I called them once and let the phone ring for nearly twenty minutes with no response. I initially went with them because of the lower cost. You get what you pay for! I would never recommend them to anyone. Don't waste your time or money with Unique.
I've had a huge issue with my savings account at TCF, I transferred money into it from my checking account to safeguard it when my debit card went missing. When I transferred it back $10 was missing. I was very upset of course. Although I was refunded the money I am just so stunned that this could even happen. I am also worried that it could happen again. Savings accounts are for saving money not losing it!
I've been with TCF for almost a year. I opened an account because neither my credit union nor bank were in the city I work in over the summer. I like how helpful customer service is. I've had a few problems with money being removed from my account without permission and they have handled it quickly every time. My only complaint is that when ordering a new debit card I don't have access to the old one. It is cancelled until the new one arrives, which takes weeks! other than that, TCF is a good bank.
I have been with Alliant for little over a year. I'd have to say that the customer service is okay. It just isn't what i'm used to at bigger banks.Not having 24 hour support can sometimes be an issue. i will say that I do enjoy that there is no fee for transfers. so on a scale of 1 to 5, I 'd give Alliant a 3.8.
