This is an interesting card. The obvious drawback is that it only gains points when you use it at a Marathon. I think there's only 2 in my area, which would limit where I could use it. The APR is high, especially for a card with no introductory rate. I do enjoy the fact that the gains can increase depending how much you spend within a month. The savings would be great for someone who drives a lot. I once had a Kwikfill card that not only offered gains, but gave a discount as you used it (usually $.05 a gallon). If you use Marathon a lot and plan to use the card and pay it every month, than this is a good card. But for the average person who doesn't use Marathon, it might be better to pass
I love this card. I order a lot of stuff from Amazon, so this card is amazing. 3% back on all orders, which, with the amount of things I order, is a major amount back in my pocket. Not to mention that it still gets 1% and 2% everywhere else. The APR is decent for such a high credit limit which makes an balance due not incur too much. There's no annual fee, which I love. This card is a must get for anyone that uses Amazon regularly.
This card is actually pretty good. I had a citi card that was similar to this. It gave decent rates, but I enjoy the fact that you earn 10% extra when staying at select hotels. My Citi Student card offered similar services, but not that good of an offer. The only problem I have is the $25 annual fee. But that is minor if you use the card right.
This card doesn't seem as if it would be the best fit for people like me. While the first year is free, every year after carries a $125 annual fee. I have a similar card from Amazon and Chase. It doesn't carry that fee, and it also allows more points per dollar spent. While this card gives a max of 2, the Chase Amazon card allows 3 points per purchase. While this may be a good card for some, in my opinion, it doesn't work well for me.
Overall, this card seems like more of a hassle than anything. The pros are good, with no annual fee, no over limit fee, and no max penalty APR. But other than that, the cons are bad. 29.95% APR on cash advance is ridiculous. Other cards I've owned had a max at 15%. Also the fact that they charge you at least $10 but up to 5% for taking out cash is outrageous. This card is only beneficial if you use it at Goodyear and pay the balance off. I'd suggest any other card unless you were at a Goodyear location and needed something to help finance a vehicle repair.
This card seems like a great deal. The only draw back that I can see is the $4.95 monthly fee. However, if you have a checking account, it's waived, which is definitely a plus. The cash back offer for online buys is a great positive. While I'm normally adverse to prepaid cards, since they require you to constantly add money, this card seems like the positives greatly outnumber the negatives of the card. Other cards don't allow you to waive the monthly fee, if they have one, also, some other prepaid cards aren't backed by such a strong bank. Compared to other cards I've had, this one seems like one of the better ones on the market.
I absolutely loved the customer service that I received with ESL. I had been a member for four years before I asked them for a car loan. I had always had exceptional experiences with the credit union and getting my car loan was no different. I had low credit, which the teller informed me of. What shocked me was that the teller proceeded to give me options, from a co-signer to a lower amount. He walked me through all the steps to getting a co-signer, giving me all the paperwork and pushing it through as fast as possible. I was able to receive my car loan in a week. From the minute i asked for the loan until this day, I have had nothing but ease with ESL. In my opinion it is one of the better credit unions. I highly recommend it for anyone that is interested in a perfect banking experience.
I enjoyed this card very much. When we first used it, it was for a very big purchase and the card gave an introductory rate of 0% for 6 months, which was perfect for us. It allowed my wife and I to pay off the balance while not incurring interest. After the 6 months, we used the card periodically to buy groceries. It only had a limit of $500, which was perfect because it limited over spending and allowed us to keep control of our debt. I would definitely recommend this card to anyone looking to buy something big from Wal-Mart while having 0% for a short time.
