I love my Ally bank online savings account. The interest rate is substantially higher than the industry average and every month I get a hefty interest payment. Not bad for just leaving my money sitting in there! I would highly recommend this account to anyone looking to earn a little bit of passive income. Ally Bank also makes it easy and quick to transfer money to other accounts. My interest rate at my last bank was a whopping….wait for it…0.01%. So this is a HUGE improvement. Thanks Ally!
I love my Target Red Card! I've had it for three years now and I use it every single time I shop at Target stores or on their website. As a cardholder, you get 5% off of every store or website purchase as well as free shipping on all online orders automatically. You also receive exclusive coupons at the register after checking out. Only downside is you can't use it at any other stores.
I love my American Express Premium Rewards Gold card. The point earnings system is great and really adds up when you consistently use it for gas, groceries, etc. It's very simple to cash out your points through their travel website and it's very clear and easy to understand. The merchandise rewards are quite impressive as well. The products are high end and include apple products, high end audio, and quality home products. I received an excellent 50,000 point bonus after spending $1,500 over three months which wasn't very difficult. Those points cover a $500 airline ticket! The only downside is the $175 yearly fee which is a bit steep, however, the first year is free which makes it worthwhile.
I really like the Chase Sapphire card and have considered opening one up recently. The 10,000 bonus points reward is fantastic and the qualifier really isn't that difficult to achieve. The interest rate isn't that bad either compared to other similar options.
I think this card is too limiting and the terms and conditions are kind of cumbersome. I wouldn't have any interest in this card when there are many other cards with more comprehensive options.
I've actually used this card in the past and I can say that I never really enjoyed the rewards. Points only applied on clothing purchases in Gap stores and that got old fast. I soon switched to other cards with more comprehensive offerings.
I like that this card offers 5 points for every dollar spent on gas. That's extremely high and considering that I spend $50+ per tank fill, this can really add up to some serious rewards. I use the Chase Signature credit card and American Express Premium rewards as my primary cards and while they don't quite stack up on the gas front, my American Express card offers fantastic rewards overall which I think outshine this card. The Chase card however doesn't stack up with the offerings of the Wells Fargo card.
I am very pleased overall with Ally Bank and its products. The interest rates are very much above industry standards however, I found that receiving my checks and debit card was a huge issue. I recently moved so I understand that that threw a wrench into things but it still took way too long. Customer service was prompt and helpful but wasn't able to solve the issue in a timely manner. It's been over a month and I just received my checks and still haven't received my debit card. This is unacceptable. I realize that it's not completely the bank's fault but I still feel that the resolution could have been a bit more timely.
