I have had this checking account for over 6 years now and I have not had any complaints about it. I like how they will waive the monthly fee if you make an automatic deposit of at least $500 a month. Even when I was at school and worked part-time, I still made enough to waive this fee. I would also have to applaud their customer service as well. When I went out of town and realized that there were no Commerce Bank locations in my area, they even waived my ATM fees. Now that alone will never cause me to close this checking account.
As much as my girlfriend shops in this store, it is almost necessary to get the Victoria's Secret Credit Card. Reward points add up quickly here and once you earn 1000 points, you become an "angel forever." This even helps rack up more points as angel's get 2x points for bras. It is also very cool that she gets a birthday surprise every year.
The Target Prepaid Card from American Express has many great features. There are no activation fees, no transfer fees, and you can use the card either as credit or debit without fees. If you use an ATM more than once a month, there is a $3 fee, but that rate is average when you use any ATM that is specifically from your bank. Overall, this is a great Prepaid card.
As a holder of a few store credit cards, I would have to say that the APR rate on the GAP Credit Card is about average. It is a perfect card to have if you pay off your bill in full each month. The reward points are great. They will send you a gift card code via email once you hit a certain amount of points. The great thing about this card is you can use it through several different stores.
The Chase Sapphire Card is an amazing reward-based credit card that has no annual fee. I really like how the do not charge you to have this credit card. Also, the interest rate is quite low for a standard rewards card. Discover's rate is closer to 24%. Also, I like to dine out, so it's nice to get 2x the points for these purchases.
My Guitar Credit Card has been through many purchases and it's very nice to have. Although there are few complaints about this card. It would be very nice if they offered some kind of reward points for spending so much. I also cannot stand how they do not offer some sort of automatic bill-pay. This is the only credit card that I have that is not set up on automatic payments. They do offer no interest on many products for 6 months, sometimes more. In conclusion, the card is great to have, but it could be improved a bit.
As far as clothing store credit cards go, this one cannot be beat. Once you sign up for this card you receive 15% of your initial purchase. Now here is the best part: if you pay attention to their emails, there are many promotions that you can take advantage of with this card. It's easy to say that at least once a month you can save 40% on purchases when you use the credit card.
I've had the US Bank Premium Checking for about 4 years now, and I have absolutely no complaints. I really enjoy US Bank's customer service, and it is the first bank that I have been with where I love going inside instead of online banking. Now don't get me wrong, their online banking is spectacular. I just have never been with a bank that the employees remember my name each time I come in. I would highly recommend this account to anyone!
As far as the credit card goes, it can be challenged by no other. As a recent college graduate, I wanted to start to really increase my credit line. After looking and applying to a few credit cards, Discover was the only company who didn't try and take advantage of my lack of existing credit. They offered me a great interest rate and have allowed me to build a great credit score. Their customer service is also amazing. They have waived two late fees, and have always answered the line when I called. And with Cash-back rewards, I cannot imagine having a different credit card in my wallet.
