My agent recommended Security First to me over seven years ago when I purchased my current home. Their customer service department has been friendly and helpful whenever I called with questions. My policy is presented in an easy to understand format. I know what my coverage's and deductibles are and they notify me of any changes before they take place. I obtained a few other quotes when my policy came up for renewal, and found that they are fairly priced. I opted for EFT payments and they always email a reminder a few days before the payment is withdrawn. Overall, Security First seems to be a good company for home owners insurance.
Western Union offers a solution to individuals with no or poor credit with their Prepaid MasterCard. There is really nothing bad to be said about this card. I have looked at other prepaid cards and their fees are higher. The READY debit Visa Prepaid Card charges a $9.95 monthly fee compared to Western Union’s $2.95 fee. The direct deposit of as little as $100 to waive the monthly fee is reasonable. I especially like that MasterCard's Zero Liability Policy applies to this card.
Hilton is a well known hotel chain with an excellent reputation. The Hilton HHonors credit card offers many features that I find attractive. The bonus points program is outstanding. This is much better than the Marriott Rewards points. The complimentary "Silver" status and no blackout dates on hotel stays are a plus. Also the insurance offered through the added travel benefits could come in very handy. Although there is no intro rate, the 15.24% - 19.24% is pretty typical and really not a bad deal when you consider there is no annual fee.
I love the bonus points! One point for every dollar spent is appealing. I think the 0% APR for the first 15 months and no annual fee is a good deal. American Express has an excellent reputation and that makes the Blue Sky card attractive as well. To be fair, the 17.24%- 22.24% annual rate is a bit higher than my current Visa card. I would also like to know what is considered an eligible purchase and what the other terms and restrictions actually are.
This card has both good and bad features. On the plus side is the 0% interest for 6-18 months, depending on the amount spent. I was pleased to see that the Apple Credit Card had no annual fee. I also like the fact that it is designed to provide special financing options for the holder's first Apple purchase. Apple is a trusted brand and this is a nice plus. On the down side, the regular interest rate of 22.99% - 26.99% is on the high side. I was also disappointed to find that it did not have a rewards program as my Capital One card does.
I opened my SunTrust account because of the convenience. I stay with them because of their staff. The branch closest to my home has an extraordinary staff. They take time with each and every one of their customers. When I went in to open my personal checking they sat down and discussed what would work best for me. Did I write a lot of checks? Do I use online banking? Would I be interested in down loading an app to deposit checks from my phone? Did I use direct deposit? At the end of the session I felt like I had an account tailored to my life style.
I am very appreciative of Jax Metro and their wonderful staff. I went through a break-up about six months ago and my ex and I were joint signers on a large truck loan. I was in desperate need of a dependable vehicle, but as long as I was on the joint loan, no one would finance me. Our representative assisted my ex in removing my name from the loan and went out of her way to help me open my own account with Jax Metro and obtain a loan for a vehicle. I can't say thank you enough.
