David worked with me for a great deal of time trying to get me the lowest possible rate. He even told me to wait one month to sign up for Gieco insurance as one of my tickets would be cleared from my record in one months time. I greatly appreciate the help David has provided me with.
I enjoyed my time spent using Liberty Bank's Checking account. The reason I signed up originally was the reward they offered of $100 for signing up and using direct deposit. After using them for about a period of 6 months, I had overdrawn my account 3 weeks in a row so they decided that was too much and closed my account. It caused a problem for me as my employer still tried to direct deposit my pay into the account but the customer service people were very helpful in getting information sent to me confirming the account was closed and I never received the pay, as it was closed, that way my employer could still pay me without having to wait for it to show up as returned.
What I really liked about my Best Buy Store Card was that for 48 months I had 0% APR as long as I made the payment before the 48 months were up. Meaning that as long as I payed off whatever was charged within the 48 months it was 0% APR but if I did not pay it in time, they gave me 25% APR for the entire time I had the item charged going back to the first month. Which is one thing I did not like because that would have ended up being a lot of compiled interest but it also made me want to pay it off in time.
I like that you are able to sign your direct deposit up to this card as well as use the card to make payments for bills or purchases just like regular credit card. I do not like that there is a $4.95 monthly fee unless you have it connected to a checking account and do not like that there is a $2 ATM transaction fee when there are no "Chase" ATM's available.
The most serious problem I have occurred while using First Niagara Simple Checking Account is when I first opened it, I called before I did it to make sure it would be okay and clear normally, but I deposited a third party check for a friend and withdrew the funds out of the ATM for him. I had called and asked if this was okay and they told me it would clear in 2 business days like a regular check. Unfortunately that was not true, it took 5 business days because my account was still new but they failed to tell me than when I called so the money was not available until almost a full week later.
My parents originally set me up with an account with First Connecticut Credit Union before I was 18 and started depositing money into a savings account for me for my college fund. Once I turned 18 and was old enough to have an account on my own I opened a checking account. About 2 years later I went for a car loan through them. Their interest rate was fair for a first loan, they were easy to deal with when shopping for a car, also very timely with approving me for the loan and the car the loan was for.
There are two main reason I chose to have my savings account with First Niagara Bank. The first being that is where I have my checking account so it makes it more conivent for me to have both accounts with the same bank so it is only a one stop for me to do all my banking needs. The second reason is that I found First Niagara's website to be very user-friendly and easily accessible. As I do most of my banking actions online or from my mobile phone, it is very important for me to have a bank with online services that are easy to use as well as efficient when using them.
When reviewing the Chase Slate credit card, there was one thing that I saw that made me really want to get this card specifically. The card offers 0% APR on purchases and transfers for the first 15 months and after that only between 12.99% and 22.99%. This is great for someone like me who has multiple cards that have high balances and high interest rates as I can just transfer the balance to this card and receive 0% interest for the first 15 months.
There was one major thing that I found about the Express Credit Card that I did not like at all. I did not like the fact that there are a lot of "NA" markings for a lot of the questions, there is no smart chip, no foreign transactions allowed, there is no cash advanced allowed, no max over limit fee. All of these make it seem like a credit card that does not particularly care about the customers interest.
There were two things that stuck out to me as positives about the American Eagle Outfitters Credit Card. The first being that they seem to have an excellent rewards program. The fact that you get 1 extra point per every $100 you spend, $10 dollar savings for every 10 points earned, and for 100 points earned you receive 15% off, at 200 points -20% off, at 350 points – 30% off and at 500 points – 40% off, that would be great if you were able to get up to 500 points. The other thing that I really liked is that they give you a 20% off coupon for your birthday..
There are two things that I liked very much about the Goodyear Credit Card. The first is that there is only a $35 max late fee meaning that whether I am 1 day or 100 days late, I will only be assesed a fee of $35. The other thing that i found good about this specific card, is the online services they offer. I do most of my account management for credit cards, banking, insurance, etc, online so they making that available makes my life easier.
One thing I like very much about the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card is that you have a 21 day grace period. A lot of credit cards that I have looked at have a grace period of 10 days or less. One thing that i dislike about the card is the fact that there is no online response. I don't like that if I were to apply for the card that I would not be able to get an answer immediately and would have to wait for a response in the mail probably 7-10 days later.
