When I was looking for insurance I shopped around a bit for the best prices and ended up settling with Allstate. There I worked with Paul Rogacki, and he helped me go through the process and make sure I was getting the best options and rates. He answered all my questions and really made everything simple. I would definitely recommend those guys at Allstate and specifically Paul.
My parents went with another company and have been with them for many years for car insurance. I was going to go the same route but when I checked the rates they were outrageous. I decided to shop around a bit and I'm glad I did. Esurance offered the best rates I could find that fit my needs. I haven't had any issues with them and their customer service is top notch, no complaints there. I haven't had to file a claim or anything yet so I can't speak on that, but I doubt I will have any problems.
Back when I lived in Texas, I was a member of Amplify Credit Union. They were very good and I had no problems with them at all. No crazy unnecessary fees or poor customer service. In fact, they were very friendly when you go in there, they even called me by my name when I came in. I'm not sure why but it really makes you feel welcome when that happens. If I still lived in the area I would definitely still be with them. No complaints whatsoever.
I used TCF in the past, and while they aren't horrible, they aren't very good either. The main problem with them is small ridiculous fees that you will be charged. ATM fees, overdraft fees which accumulate, hell even a fee to receive a statement in the mail. It's all a bit much, it adds up, and really there's no reason to put up with it when there are credit unions out here not trying to nickel and dime you. If TCF is your only option, you could definitely do worse, but I would look for a good credit union instead.
I have been with Fort Sill Federal Credit Union for a few years now. I haven't had any issues with them. They are very respectful and friendly when doing business with me. There are no fees of any kind with the account that I have so that is very nice. Overall I can't think of anything bad to say about them, so I would definitely recommend them to someone looking for a good bank to use.
