I am a current GEICO auto insurance customer and have been for many years. Their rates are at least $20 per month less than the nearest competitor and have been great to work with. the web site is very easy to navigate and make edits to your policy. I recently had my car broken into and they had someone to fix the window the very next day. I have not had to deal with them for an auto accident, as I have not had one in a while. I can honestly say, that they few times I had to call them, their customer service has been more than helpful They will even look and make sure you are receiving all the discounts you are entitled to!
EFCU was a pretty good experience. I recently took out a 10k used car loan and opened a savings account. While the savings account was pretty cut and dry, the car loan took a couple of weeks just to get approval on it. There were multiple calls back and forth. I understand why it took the time it did, as I had very little credit history (being a college student). They made me a bit nervous that I wouldn’t be approved in the end. After 2 weeks, I received a call telling me that I was approved for my loan and at a great rate. They have been okay when it comes to responding to inquiries since then. My original loan consultant became non-responsive, but when I received a new one, she was much more responsive to any questions I had. All in all, it was a decent experience and the rates are great.
I have held a wells fargo checking account since they purchased Wachovia. As an account holder at Wachovia, i was a little worried about the change, but I couldn't be happier with everything wells fargo has done. I was able to keep my account number and "Way to save" account linked. My debit card is linked and i recently received the new card (complete with the chip for more security. This is a good thing, because my card number has actually be stolen many times. Customer service has been great, as they quickly reach out to me with any questionable purchases on my debit card and quickly erase any unwanted/stolen charges (no questions asked). I couldn't be happier as a wells fargo customer and will continue to be a loyal checking account holder of theirs for the future.
I have been a customer of Capital One for over a year now and recently opened up a 360 Savings account. This account is perfect for that person looking to create a "rainy day/emergency fund." The interest rates are pretty good and their customer service is great. They are quick to fix any unwanted mistakes on their end. The site is very easy to navigate and to transfer funds from another bank to this one is very easy. The only thing I would add, is a small like that connects this account to a credit card account, that way you can see all your accounts on one screen without having to sign out and sign back in to your other accounts.
