I had a really bad experience banking with Bank of America. I used Bank of America solely as a savings account and I had a terrible experience. The application process was quick and easy, they had no problem getting me signed up and having me deposit my money. After signing up is when it all went down hill. After the first month I looked at my savings account and realized money was taken out, albeit it was only a little amount. So I call Bank of America and find out that there is a fee that was not disclosed when I signed up. I talked to two different managers and they said there was nothing they could do about it, while being rather rude.
I have banked with Popa Federal Credit Union for over 5 years. When I bought my new car I decided to get a loan with a different bank that was through the car dealership. About a year into my car loan I received a letter in the mail saying that I was preapproved for a new or used car loan up to 45,000. Since I could get a lower rate and I have been banking with them for quite a while I decided I would switch over. So I called them, and I figured things would move quickly since I was already preapproved, but that was not the case. I gave them all my information, after being put on hold several times throughout the phone call. They said they would call me back at the end of the business day or the following day once they had everything processed. Five days later they still hadn't called me back so I decided to call in. Upon calling I found out that they still had not processed my loan request. I decided to just not switch my car loan.
I signed up for a Chase College Checking account when I first started going to college, nearly four years ago, and I have never had a problem with their services. They have one of the best mobile banking apps out there, one in which you can deposit checks. It is very easy to transfer and receive money transfer from others ones you sign up for this service. One problem I did encounter when signing up for this service is that it has to be from an actual desk top/lap top. You cannot sign up for this service from your cell phone.
Very great insurance company. I have had Mercury for three years. I recently got into a car accident, and Denise was my worker on the case. She came out and took pictures of the cars and was extremely patient and understanding. I was very pleased! She was so nice and when I explained to her what happened, she was not judgemental at all. I had never had to really use my insurance before, but it definetely came in handy today. I am so very grateful for Denise!
