I have had a capital one 360 online checking account for about 6 months now and I am very satisfied with it. The one thing I like is it has no fees unlike some other banks out there. They also don't charge you for overdrafts, instead they just charge interest on whatever amount you went over on. I think that's pretty fair. I can't complain about them at all.
It's always been very hard for me to save money. So a friend recommended setting up a completely separate savings account that I could transfer a small amount of money into every paycheck and just forget about it. Sort of an emergency fund. I wanted a good online bank so I went with Ally for my savings account. I really like Ally a lot, they have a good online interface and the customer service is top notch as well. There are no crazy fees for using them, and I have not had any issues with them as of yet. If you can manage to use an online only account, Ally is a great choice.
So I was looking for another local bank to do business with. I like to have multiple accounts for different purposes. I chose Keybank's hassle free checking account. Mainly because it doesn't have any monthly fees or anything like that. I am very happy with them so far. They treat you well and customer service is top notch. I haven't had any problems with them yet.
I began looking for a new bank when I moved to a new location for a job. I went with Benchmark Community Bank and I have been very satisfied. I haven't had any issues staff and they have always been fair and friendly when I come in to do business. The overall service is good. About as much as you will get from most other banks. No crazy monthly maintenance fees or anything like that, so they aren't trying to nickle and dime you. The location is also very convenient for me as well. I really don't have any complaints with them at all.
