No credit card needed
This is the type of card that you do not want to have. It's the card that other cards warn against in there advertising. Your bonus miles are very difficult to use. I had miles disappear for select flights. Additionally, there are better cards with better rates, but since I needed something with miles, and was denied from other cards I had to settle for this one for about a year. If you can get a different card, do so. The bonuses are poor, the APR is high, and the customer service is unfriendly. The card is average.
This is a pretty good entry level credit card because the fees are low and the acceptance rate is high. I love that this card can be used anywhere! It makes it even easier to build up your poor credit back to a point where you can start applying for cards with larger limits. The bottom line is that if you have poor credit, this is a great card to start out with. Your credit will get better with time and management!
This card has been a "stepping stone" credit card for me. It was my first credit card with no annual fees! It was great to have finally built enough credit to not have to "donate" my rewards just to maintain a card. The only downside is that the APR is high, however, since you are still working towards building for better credit cards, you should be able to handle your purchases! This card is great, and I recommend it to anyone!
This credit card is great! I shop at A&F fairly often for both myself and for gifts for family. I find that the card opens the door for special offers and discounts that have saved a lot of money! There is no annual fee and I have never experienced negativity from customer service. This is a safe card to use as long as you shop with some regularity at the store!
This card was great when my credit history was poor. Yes, it has an annual fee but as long as you use it enough, the fee should be covered by your cash back amount! This card is a great way to build credit history and have a little bit of your hard spent, hard earned money, come back to you!
If you are a parent of young children and frequent shop at this store, then this is a great card. Aside from a rather high APR and some not so friendly customer service, the rewards system is pretty friendly. I can't stress enough that this is a card where you want to pay the balance ASAP. Having to jump through the hoops of customer service is not worth it. Get this card, use the points, make your kids happy, and pay off the balance. It's pretty straightforward.
Rewards, rewards, rewards - that should be this card's motto. With this card you I get 2 times the miles for every dollar spent (all the time) and 5% back on miles that I redeem. You get rewarded for using your rewards! I do not think there are any other cards that do that. Also, the introductory period is great. You get $400 worth of miles for spending $3,000 in three months. Also, don't forget that this card has chip technology for optimized security. You need this card.
The beauty of this card is the 1.5% cash back. Our accountants are always raving about how we can roll that money back into our business to expand our budget. It's a very nice thing to have. Additionally, there is a sizable bonus for spending in the first three months. It's a great credit card your small and mid-sized businesses. I highly recommend it!
This is a great card because unlike most prepaid cards, the monthly fee is nominal ($1). That is very tough to beat! The card offers everything from ATM withdraws to being able to be used just about everywhere. If you are starting out and trying to build up some credit history, this card needs to be one of the first you own. It is a cheap way to get immersed in the "Credit card game."
When it comes to tech gear, the blue and yellow is a great store. Better yet, it's difficult to walk out without having spent a $1000 on a new appliance (TV, game systems, games, etc.). That being said, the deferred payments option is great. I utilize this option to collect interest on the money that I would normally use on site. It's very nice, and as long as you remind yourself to pay on time, you won't be hit with the high APR. If you are a frequent Best Buy shopper, you should check out this card.
This card has been one of the most reliable and consistent cards that I have ever owned. I am excellent at paying my bills on time, but the safety net of having a low APR is really nice in case something comes up. The rewards program is great too. It's simple; points = products. If you are attracted to low interest rates (especially during an introductory period) and do not mind sacrificing some rewards perks, than this is the card for you!
I used this card for one month and realized it wasn't for me. The monthly fee is quite high and is not advertised well on the card. Don't get fooled into thinking that this is an easy card (or free card) to use. You will surely be annoyed. On the plus side, the card does make it quite easy to perform all necessary transactions.
With a Walmart no more than a few miles from my home, this card is pretty convenient. The interest free purchases are pretty cool, but I think the regulations and bonuses for cash back or rebates could be a little better. You have to be a serious Walmart shopper, which I am not, to get the full usage out of this card. If this describes you, then you should sign up right away to start earning your rebates!
This card has been absolutely awesome. 2 miles for every $1 spent is a very tough deal to beat. Capital One is also one of the top companies because of it's fraud protection and customer service. You cannot go wrong picking a Capital One back credit card. So, if you have the credit line to apply and can use the miles for vacationing or leisure, then this is a great card for you.
If you travel and frequently choose Mariot hotels then this card is simply a "no brainer." The rewards are great. It's also nice to know that you can have a free stay somewhere, which makes an impromptu trip or vacation a little less strenuous on the check book. The rewards are simple to use, and I have never had a problem using or activating them. This is a great credit card!
I really enjoy this card but it is not my "go to" card. It all depends on which rotating purchases provide the most rewards. If gas or groceries are up for a greater cash back than my other cards, then I will obviously use it. Unfortunately that is not always the case so I find myself utilizing a different card for those purchases. The initial bonus is nice if you can afford to reach it. I'll never turn down $100 for things I am buying anyway! This is a great card, but you really have to watch the rotating rewards.
The double cash card, as advertised, is one of the only cards to offer 2% cash back on all purchases. I love it because I do not need to shop at particular stores, buy groceries at particular grocery stores, or get gas at particular stations. It's great. I love the freedom! Customer service is also spectacular. I felt like a human because I interacted with a human! I felt like they knew me well and wanted me as a customer. Get this card.
This credit card is great because of the sign up bonus ($100 back for spending $1000 in the first three months) and because of the rewards. I use my credit card often. I love the security that I get with this card as well. I traveled to Seattle this past summer and was notified that my card had been used in the airport. Some people find it a creepy or a pain that someone is keeping tabs on you, but I love the security. The more the better! Check out this card!
This is a great card for a couple of different reasons. If you are just starting out and would like to apply for a credit card, you are almost certain to be approved for this card. Additionally, if you do a lot of shopping at Target (primary store), then the 5% off bonus is also pretty nice. The downside is there is no cashback rewards (offsets with the 5% off) and the APR is quite high. If you decide to proceed with this credit card, make sure you promptly pay your bills!
The Mariott Rewards Credit Card is a great credit card. The bonus for spending $1000 in the first three months is virtually unbeatable. The rewards benefits are great too, especially if you are a frequent traveler or are staying at hotels often. This card is also widely accepted at almost every location. While these are great, there are some downsides like a high APR, so be sure to be responsible when using this card. Also, an annual fee kicks in after the first year, so if you do not like the card or you are not using it to take advantage of the bonuses; cancel it!
I absolutely love my Amazon.com credit card. It is awesome being able to get points for amazon purchases since Amazon has pretty much anything that you can think of! If you use Amazon for even just a few purchases per year, it is 100% worth applying for this card. The $10 off for getting approved is a nice little bonus as well.
The Shell Credit Card is not the best credit card out there. Truthfully, you are better off staying away from gasoline bonus credit cards for other cards that provide you with cash back that you can simply put towards gasoline. Spending $1000 for .10 cents off per gallon is not worth it (in my mind), although this discount is higher than other gasoline credit cards. The APR for this credit card is lower than others, but it still quite lofty. Unless you are in a pinch, I would take your business elsewhere to find a better credit card.
The JCPenny card is a pretty good card. The 10-20% discount is great but can be somewhat misleading. Do not go to the jewelry section and expect a 20% discount! That being said, the point system is great, but be careful because points have an expiration date and have a limited redemption clause! Be sure to read up before signing on. Despite the so/so experience that I have had, I do think it is a good card, especially if you are a frequent JCPenny shopper.
This is not a very good credit card. It has a very high APR, and the bonuses for purchasing gas are very high (I do not come close to getting it). However, I do not have much credit history, and they did approve me for a credit card. That in itself is the reason why I chose this credit card (there is also a Valero down the street from my apartment). I plan on using this card to build some credit history. If you do not have a credit history (or have a poor credit history) than you are in luck, because you will most likely be approved!
Capital One Quicksilver is a great credit card. I am very satisfied with my experience thus far. For me personally, I do not have much credit history, so this card is as good as it gets with minimal credit history and earning solid rewards. No annual fee, and initiation bonuses like spending $500 in the first three months is exceptional and not offered by many other credit card distributors. Paying your bill is simple as I was able to link a bank account that consistently sends me reminders at the end of every month. It is almost impossible to miss a payment! I highly recommend applying for a card if you are currently searching for a credit card.
