No credit card needed
My wife and I signed up for our Macy's card when we got engaged to register for our wedding gifts (and also to use for the items we didn't get on our registry). We have had no problems with the credit card and constantly get emails about different sales and promotions. It works just like any other store credit card as it gives you discounts on most items you buy with the card. Since we like to shop there pretty frequently, it made sense that we go ahead and get the credit card. I'd recommend this card to anyone who enjoys shopping at Macy's and enjoys saving money. We aren't usually big fans of store credit cards but this one seems to be okay.
I've had this card for a while now, and while I don't have any complaints, I don't have any reason to recommend this card either. The rewards are ok; not really that different from other credit cards that are out there. The interest rates are pretty good for a credit card, but with me paying the $95 per year, I suppose it evens itself out. I don't use it that often, really just enough to keep my account active. I generally use it for gas and grocery store runs. I haven't cashed in for any rewards yet, so I can't comment on those, but the customer service reps have been very helpful with any issues I've called them with. Overall, this is a good credit card for basic purchases, but it's nothing special.
I applied and was approved for this credit card a few years ago. It was one of my first credit cards and initially applied for it when I bought my first xbox. They had a promotion going on with their "reward zone" program where I got a gift card in return for signing up. I then applied the gift card towards the purchase of some games. The whole process was hassle-free. I don't use the card regularly, and honestly can't remember the last time I used it. I don't shop at best buy very often and when I do I usually just use my debit card to make the purchase. I would recommend this card to anyone who shops at best buy regularly due to their rewards program and the gift cards you receive toward future purchases at the store.
This was the first credit card that I owned. I still have it, but very rarely use it due to the high interest rate and low rewards I receive on this card. I get 1 point per dollar spent, with no bonuses that I'm aware of. There are MUCH better credit cards/reward programs out there, just do a little research. The main reasons I got this card were 1) they had a huge marketing campaign at the time and I fell subject to it, and 2) the rewards can be used at any time without "blackout dates." My wife and I really don't fly that much so that wasn't much of a perk. You can use the reward points for hotels, gift cards, and other items though. It just takes a long time to accumulate enough reward points to justify owning this card.
I've had this credit card for a couple months now. I originally applied for the card because over the past year I've been doing a lot of traveling. I realized I could get more Hilton points to use on future stays by booking my stays through the credit card. My wife and I really enjoy staying in Hampton Inns, and we pretty much exclusively stay in them when we travel. By booking our hotel stays with the card, we get 6 points per dollar spent on the hotel, 3 points at gas stations, and 2 points on everything else. My other cards give me only 1 point per dollar on most expenses. I'm happy with the card because I know that I'm getting rewarded when I use it, especially on vacation. It's now my primary card and my wife and I are saving up to use our points on a beach trip in the future. I can't wait.
