No credit card needed
I have been primarily using my Miles Discover card for my work. With the amount of travel I have to book and the really nice miles features that come with this card, it was a pretty easy choice. What I especially like is that I can use the miles on a date. I have not yet had any problems redeeming for flights on any date, including weekends around the holidays. To me, that lack of date freedom is the worst feature of most frequent flyer miles. And this card really fixes that problem in a very hassle-free way. If you fly a lot, this card would be a good choice, in my opinion.
This really is a pretty nice card. I've been working for a while now to decrease a bunch of debt I stupidly got on credit cards. This was really a great find for transferring a good chunk of my credit earning balance. I was especially pleased that it has a 18 month period of no interest on balance transfers. That should give me more than enough time to pay it off. I used to think that Discover wouldn't be accepted in many places; but, it seems to be accepted almost everywhere. Also, since I don't plan to make many purchases with it, it doesn't matter.
When I first needed to get my credit score up (After a few too many bad financial decisions), I did a lot of research and eventually settled on the Capital One Classic card. I wasn't too excited about the annual fee; but, considering the state of my credit I was glad to be able to get any card. They approved me fairly quickly and I've never had a problem with them. I also like that their APR is lower than many others. Although, I don't intend to keep a balance each month, unforeseen circumstances may eventually cause that to happen. And it's nice to know that the interest I'm charged won't be too crazy.
When I first considered getting this card I knew I need to sit down and calculate whether the $39 annual fee was worth the above average rewards. Given the amount I expected to spend on this card for my business, it made sense for me to get it. So, for I've very pleased with it. The application process was simple and approval was instant. I do wish that the cashing out of rewards was a bit simpler but that process is pretty standard for cards now. Overall, I'm very pleased with the card and would make the exact same decision to get it again.
I recently got this Citi Dividend card to transfer the very last of my debt from a high interest credit card. I was very quickly approved and the whole application process was easy and straightforward. Because I just got this card, I haven't yet had a chance to use their rewards. But I am excited that if I make $500 in purchases in the first 3 months, I get $100 dollars back. That's a pretty good excuse to spend with this card. I've heard a lot of good things about Citi over the years and am now very excited to have a card with them.
My wife is the one that mostly uses this card because she travels a lot for her job. At first I was concerned about the $85 annual fee; but, once I realized that you basically get a free room at a Marriott hotel every year, it really made sense to have the card. And the bonus point are great since she gets them at 5 times the normal rate when she stays at a Marriott. Add in the fairly low interest rate and the fact that it is a Visa and not some brand of card that isn't taken everywhere, and this is a pretty good card to have.
Until very recently I had a Chase Preferred Card. I was very happy with it and especially enjoyed the good rewards program. The very low interest rate was also appealing, even though I typically pay off my balances each month. The few times that I had a reason to call their customer service, they were very helpful and professional. My only reason for very recently choosing to go with another card, was that they started charging an annual fee. Somehow I missed this when originally signing up for the card. I'm sure it was my fault. Either way, it no longer made sense for me to keep this card.
I recently got a new card and it was my first American Express. It does feel kind of nice to pull out the AmEx when paying for something. Either way, this particular card is great. I love that there are no annual fees, as can often be the case on American Express cards. The rewards, though not amazing, really pushed this card into great territory. The 1% cash back is pretty standard but the little extras you get on top of that make this card a joy to use. I love seeing my statements at the end of each month and seeing how much I've earned.
I very recently applied and got this credit card. I mainly chose it so that I could transfer some balances from other higher interest rate cards. Additional bonus are the pretty good rates, decent rewards, and lack of fees. I haven't had much chance to use the card yet; but, the process of of getting the card and setting it up was made very easy. Also, I did have some problems getting my balance transfer to work. But, the customer service agents were very helpful and professional in getting that sorted out. If I have one small complaint it's that the 0% interest window is not as large as it is on some other cards; but, that's a very minor concern.
Well, I just got this card about a month ago. I needed to transfer some debt to a no interest card to help me out. This one was by far the best I found. The 15 months of not having interest are a great help in getting my debt under control. Not only that, but the 5% cash bask on gas station purchases was a very pleasant bonus. The 1% cash back is pretty standard but every little bit helps. I haven't really had to use their customer service yet; but, they were very helpful on working with me when I first got the card.
I just got this card a few weeks ago to take advantage of their great balance transfers. There was only a 3% fee and no interest for the first 15 months. This will really help me by reducing my overall interest paid per month by quite a bit. Although the balance transfers were my main reason for getting this card, they also have really great rewards too. I'm excited to take advantage of the cash back they offer on gas and restaurants. It should also be noted that when I was signing up for the card, the people on the phone were extremely nice and helpful. So far so good with this card.
This is a really great card. I pay off the balance each month so it works great for me. Once, I did not receive my bill and did not pay the bill. After being assessed charged, in accordance with the user agreement, I contact their customer service. They apologized for the mistake and assured me the the bills would come through in the future. They also removed the fee they had previously charged. Overall, it is a great card. Honestly, most cards are pretty similar but the excellent customer service that comes with this card made it rise above the rest, in my estimation.
