No credit card needed
I used the RushCard for a couple of months. It is one of the biggest rip offs that I have ever been a victim of. There are so many hidden fees that you lose almost a fifth of your money. There are so many better options for prepaid cards. The best thing about this card is that it looks the best out of all other pre-paid cards. I'm very happy that I ended this card because it was going to make me broke. There is no difference between this card and an American Express card with a very high interest rate.
My parents suggested that I should sign up for rewards cards for students when I started college. They thought it would be helpful in giving me discipline as I begin my adult life. Boy were they right. The interest rate is alright unless you get caught up in penalties. That's when you get in trouble. It becomes beyond outrageous. I use to get a lot of cash advances to help me with simple purchases. I quickly stopped when I saw the interest rate that was attached to it. Overall, this card is good for young people who will do the right thing and keep their hands out of the penalty zone.
I signed up for the United Mileage Plus Explorer Credit Card a few years ago after I got a job that required lots of traveling. I thought that this would be a great card to have to rack up on much needed miles with all of my traveling. I'n less than two years, I've earn about three plane tickets. The interest rate for this card is very low and I'm overall extremely satisfied with my credit card. This card is also very useful when wanting to earn other travel related rewards like hotels and car rentals. There are a lot of affiliate companies that allows you to earn points on your card with them.
The Green Dot Gold Prepaid Visa card is the best card on the pre-paid cards market. It is the first pre-paid card I got out of high school and it is still the best. I have tried quite a few pre-paid cards and this is the one that considers its customers the most. The fees are really to a minimum and I'm not charged just to speak to a customer service agent. The Green Dot is very easy to load. There are plenty of convenient locations to get a moneypak. This will always be my first choice when looking for a prepaid credit/debit card.
I signed up for the AccountNow Pre-Paid Visa about a month ago and received it in the mail a little less than a week later. Even though I have good credit, I wanted a card that would curb my spending shopping online. I thought this would help give me some financial discipline. I like that this card is exactly what you make of it. Not having to worry about my credit card bill every month is a huge sigh of relief for me. The customer service is very easy and I can handle everything on the AccountNow website. The excessive fees are annoying because I also have to factor in every fee before I make a purchase so I know for sure that I will have enough on the card.
I am the biggest fan of the Capital One Cash Rewards credit card. It truly is one of the few credit cards that protects the interests (no pun intended) of its customers. I always breathe a huge sign of relief every month when I receive my statement because there are no hidden fees that are stuck on me. It is always good to know what to expect on my bill after I use my credit card. The rates are highly competitive and I'm highly surprised that it is not more popular than it is. Maybe Alec Baldwin needs to do some more commercials for Capital One.
The company I work for uses the American Express Gold Card. Dealing with the American Express customer Service is probably the easiest and most pleasant part of my job. My company earns a high amount of rewards because all of the transactions that are made with the American Express Gold Card. We enjoy to have an endless spending limit because there are times our company needs to make extremely large purchases. The American Express Gold Card allows us to do that.
I had the Sony Visa Credit Card for less than a year and I'm so happy that I canceled it. It is very safe to say that I hated it. I was obviously instantly attracted to all of the rewards it offered after watching Wheel of Fortune every night with my fiance. Since I often shopped for electronics and video games, I thought that the Sony Visa Credit Card would be for me. They make it so hard for you to get any reward plus the value of the rewards are a complete rip off. It takes $1000 to "win" something that is worth only fifty bucks. The interests rates are pretty high and you can lose reward points if you don't make a payment on time. I warn everyone to stay as far away from this card as possible.
The only reason that my Discover card is my secondary credit card is because it is not excepted anymore. I was very fortunate to be qualified for it considering the high credit requirements. I love everything about this card. The interest rate is very competitive with most credit cards on the market. The Cash Back rewards are always a welcomed bonus that I take advantage of every year. I've had my Discover for over five years and I do n ot have any qualms about it. I the fact that I'm able to pay my bill at the Sears down the street from where I live. I do wish that more retailers accept Discover.
My Capital One VentureOne Card is one of the best financial decisions that I could have ever made. The level of convenience its provides is what made me attracted to it it right away and ultimately sign up for the card. I could not of asked for a better interest rate. Since late 2010, I've already redeemed three airline tickets just from the points that I have accumulated from my VentureOne Card. The thing that I admire the most associated with this card is the customer service for it. There have been many times when I had questions and they quickly answered them. I've never been on hold for long periods of times just to hear generic answer from them.
