The Shell Credit Card is a great card for someone who purchases a lot of fuel. It offers great rewards in this area, and compared to my Discover rewards card the interest rate is not too bad. I like the discounts associated with both cards, but for the frequent traveler the gas rewards are good. However, you must use Shell affiliated gas stations in order to take advantage of their fuel rewards program. The cash advance rate is somewhat high, but that is expected from most credit cards. I have one of these cards, and would recommend it to others as well.
American Eagle Outfitters credit card is a pretty good card when compared with most store cards. I have had a Buckle credit card for several years, and the interest rate between these 2 cards is pretty comparable. I would give the American Eagle Outfitters card the advantage when it comes to the rewards program, simply because you get much more merchandise for points rewarded. Furthermore, The discounts offered on purchases are of a great value, and the quarterly events exclusive to account holders provide savings to select individuals. Overall, this is a good quality credit card, and their merchandise is great as well.
I have had my Buckle credit card for 3 years, and it's just an average card. The interest rate is a lot higher than most credit cards, and the credit requirements are a little strict. The price of their products is very high, and their rewards program doesn't add up. I would recommend most credit cards over this Buckle card or most store cards for that matter.
I have had my Capital 1 Platinum card for a couple of years, and it's a pretty decent card for the most part. The interest rate is a little higher than some of my other credit cards, but it wasn't as hard to get either. The customer service and convenience this card offers is very good. This is a great card for someone who's trying to establish credit.
The TJX credit card is average compared to other credit cards. The regular interest rate is very high compared to the APR I pay with my Capital 1 credit card. Furthermore, I have 0% for 6 months on card transfers which is not given with the TJX credit card. Overall, this credit card has a few good features, but I wouldn't recommend it.
The Victoria's Secret card is of a great value for individuals who shop there frequently. It has a great rewards program on in store merchandise. However, the APR is not provided, but it's usually quite high compared to other credit cards. I prefer my Bank of America rewards card over the Victoria's Secret card for several reasons. The APR is lower, you can use it at a variety of places, and the rewards program is much better. Overall, I would recommend this card if you have no other alternatives.
The Chase Sapphire card offers some great incentives for individuals who travel or dine out a lot. The points reward program associated with this card provides great value in comparison to Capital One credit cards. In addition, it has no annual fee. However, the interest rate is a tad high, and there is a 3% balance transfer fee. Capital One gives you an initial 6 month 0% fee on balance transfers. Overall, the Chase Sapphire card looks like a good investment.
There are a couple of positive things that I have noticed about this card. First, the 0% interest for 18 months as an introductory rate is an excellent value. Furthermore, there is no annual fee so you're not charged for the card if you choose not to put any charges on it. The regular interest rate is pretty high compared to most major credit cards, but overall this card is a good value for most card holders. I have a Capital One credit card and most of the terms were pretty similar with the exception of two. The regular interest rate is 14.9% and my introductory rate of 0% only lasted for 12 months.
I use this Bank of America credit card for general purchases as well as auto payment for several monthly bills. I've always had great customer support, and the points reward is a major bonus. Each year I have approximately $300 worth of reward points built up that make for a nice end of the year bonus. Bank of America is also great when it comes to credit limit increases and fair interest rates. Overall, I would definitely recommend this card.
