The Banana Republic Credit Card is a wonderful card all around! The rewards on this card are amazing, and can really add up quickly. I shop here a lot, as well as at the other stores this card supports and the rewards really stack up quickly! The interest rate is pretty high, but it's on par with other cards of its type, such as the Best Buy card, or the Lowe's card. Most store cards have the same interest rate, but it can quickly be made up by its amazing rewards.
The Lowe's Store Card is a great card if you're doing a lot shopping at this store. The rewards are much better than other competing store rewards, so this card is a must have over the competition. It has a standard interest rate, which is pretty high, but you can easily pay it off in the six month period they give you to pay off your debt. Overall, I recommend this card to anyone who is doing some upgrades to their house and is making heavy purchases.
The Best Buy Credit Card is a wonderful thing to have if you're a frequent shopper of Best Buy. The rewards you get off things in the store really add up. The interest rate is pretty standard, but it quickly makes up for it in its potent rewards. Make sure you're checking the site often for deals using this card, because the options always change. With those benefits, it does require you to have good credit though, so that's about the only downside. Overall I recommend this card heavily to anyone who does a lot of shopping at the store.
The Shell Credit Card is a pretty average gas card. If you go to Shell only for your gas, this would be a great card for you though. The discount you get off gas is a nice amount. The interest rate isn't good though, and the card doesn't offer very much. Even if you did shop at Shell a lot, I'm sure there are other cards as well that can provide more such rewards. Over-all, this is a pretty lackluster card compared to other cards on the market.
The Home Depot Store Card is an okay card. I used this while I was re-doing my bedroom, and it was nice not having to pay interest while I was paying off those expenses. There really wasn't much else to this card other than that. There are no rewards, and there's no other reason to get it unless you're doing some heavy shopping at Home Depot. It doesn't offer anything compared to a normal credit card with rewards. If you use this for anything other than Home Depot you're going to get hit pretty hard with the interest rate even if you have good credit.
The Staples Store Card is a great choice if you have a lot of office supplies to buy for your kids, home office, or your workplace. Regardless of credit, most people can get this card, but the biggest downside is the interest rate for this card is very unattractive. If you intend to pay your entire bill off the same month, it's a great card, but the interest rate will hit you like a bus. It's on par with other cards of this nature, but it's surely not the best, but extremely situational.
The Blue from American Express Credit Card is a great card if you have a lot of big purchases to make. It requires you to have excellent credit, but for a good reason. The rates are moderately low, and the reward system is wonderful for big ticket spenders. If you travel a lot, I highly recommend this card. Over-all, it's a card on par with others of it's value, but has a little bit nicer perks than I've seen.
The First Progress Platinum Prestige Secured Credit Card is a nice card when you're first starting out with your credit. I got this card when I was a teenager, and it served me well over the years. Over-time, as my options opened though, this card's rates were hard to deal with. Much like every starter card, it had a high interest rate. The annual fee is pretty high, and there are no rewards. Over-all, it's a good card for starters, but once you have more options, it's probably best you don't get attached.
The BankAmericard Travel Rewards Credit Card is an interesting card. It's not horrible, but it does require that you have a good credit history, and if you have one of those, you'll probably go for a card with a prettier rate than this one. The benefits of this card are nice, but there are much better. I'm not sure why anyone would choose this card over others, considering the credit history rate to benefits ratio is pretty terrible. On the flip side, if you travel a lot (and I mean A LOT), this card would be amazing for you. The perks for travel are wonderful, as well as the rewards.
I first started using this card when I was a teenager to start building my credit. The Capital One Classic Platinum Credit Card is okay for first time users. The rewards are alright as well. It takes a while for them to start to ramp up though. The interest on this card is as expected on a starter card; pretty bad. Much with every Capital One card, you can easily track everything you need to know about your card on a mobile app, or their website as well, and that's very helpful in today's world.
This is a pretty standard card. The Mango Prepaid Mastercard does not go above and beyond anything. There are no special perks it offers, and doesn't have an appeal that would make you want to use it more than any other card. It's nice for those who don't want to have a bank account, but otherwise, I wouldn't recommend it to those with one.
I got Journey Student Rewards from Capital One when I first started college. It's helped me keep a stable credit, and it really offers a lot of extra bonus for me. The interest rate is reasonable for the target audience of the card, so I can't complain too much there. With that in mind, they have tons of options to help you remember to pay your bills on time, and help you in case you fall behind a little bit.
I shop at Justice sometimes for my siblings, and the card has been great for the rewards. I've never had any problems with this card, although I did have to contact someone about the initial reward because it didn't apply within the 7 days. They cleared that up for me almost instantly, and I still enjoy the card to this day. Very nice and situation card. It would be nice if it had more perks for those who stick around and use the card longer, but I can't complain with the deals it's already provided for me. I recommend this to any frequent shopper.
The Marathon Credit Card is great for those who obviously frequent the Marathon gas station. This card doesn't really do a ton for benefits otherwise. It's much like any other standard credit card with decent rates. This would be a great card though, for those who use Marathon exclusively. The benefits are just too good to pass up.
