So far this card as been excellent when it comes to rewards and travel miles. I got this card through a promotion to get 30,000 travel points (equal to $400 of qualified travel expenses) after spending only $500 in the first 3 months of having the card. On top of that, I also received 0% interest for the first 18 months. There are also numerous coupons for many retailers available directly from american express for anywhere from 5% to 20% of a purchase. I would highly recommend this card to anyone.
I cannot recommend this card highly enough for anyone who shops at best buy. The customer service is not the greatest, but the rewards are usually higher than other stores, with some products having incentive points that must be redeemed at best buy. The 0% financing for most of their products is also a great deal for the big ticket items that one may buy at the store. I purchased a TV for $1500 and had 2 years to pay it off with 0% interest. The online account access is simple and easy to use as well.
The Union Plus Mastercard seems like a very solid card. The interest rate is unusually reasonable compared to the 3 Visa cards that I currently have. Even the penalty APR is about 5% lower than any credit card that I have ever had. The cash advance fee seems a bit high considering there is already a higher interest rate for the cash advance. This is one thing that my Chase credit card does not have. Overall, this seems like a great card for anyone with a generous 1.5% cash back rate instead of the more standard 1%
All in All this card is pretty average. It doesn't offer any exceptional savings that can't normally be had without the card. The one perk that I keep the card for is that occasionally I do get a few random coupons when shopping that are good for about 25% to 50% off my next purchase. I am not a very frequent old navy shopper so that could be why I rarely seem to save much money with the card.
The First PREMIER Bank MasterCard does not seem like a very good card. The yearly and monthly fees are incredibly high for a credit card and I have never had to pay this with any other credit card that I have. The interest is very high compared to the 17% of my current credit card.
This is an excellent card with great benefits. I've had this card for about 5 years now and I have never had a problem with it. The 5% quarterly cash back is great and usually includes gas in the categories which adds up quickly. This card also extends the warranty on most big ticket items by one year providing peace of mind.
