No credit card needed
I have had this credit card for awhile now, and it's the main credit card I use in my daily life. The APR is reasonable, and there is no annual fee. I like that they gave me a $1200 credit limit so I can make some bigger purchases. They've always been very friendly with me if I forgot to make a payment on time. Easy online account access from my computer or phone is a plus too.
The Blue Cash Preferred Card from American Express is an excellent card. The first strength in this card is that you get a $150 bonus for starting up the card, which is excellent. You will earn 150 in reward points in the first 3 months if you spend $1,000. The reward bonuses can be redeemed as a statement on the credit, which is also excellent. You get 6% back for supermarkets, 3% for gas stations and select department stores, and 1% for other purchases. All in all, this card is excellent if you like to get the best bang for your buck.
like the Crate and Barrel store card. The interest is high at 27% but that's about par with other store cards. My Pier One card is a little lower but doesn't have the same savings. The best part about the card is the constant savings you get with the rewards. For every 200 you spend you get 10 dollars back which is basically 5% off everything you buy. With most store cards you have to make it to the special sales to get the card savings but with the Crate and Barrel card you save every time you shop. Just make sure to pay it off at the end…
I signed up for this credit card when I was buying a Sony Vaio for University. I wasn't planning on using a credit card that much, but the rewards this card offers make it worthwhile to have. The starting bonus is incredible and gets you a good amount towards a bunch of Sony items. I am still saving up for a PS3 because I don't use my card for every purchase, but I am excited for the day when I can redeem my points for a PS3. This card is great and if you are a Sony fan (or just like free electronics), this is the card for you.
I've had my AmEx Gold for 10 years and haven't had a single problem. There service is outstanding. From their phone reps, to managing your account online. They really do provide a better service than most other credit card companies. I have been really satisfied and thus why I've kept my Gold Card for this long. Sure they may not be accepted everywhere, but really most of the places are starting to accept them now and I always use my AmEx whenever I have a chance to. Their Customer Service is top-notch, I had actually bought an espresso machine online and it turned out the seller tried to scam me and didn't ship the item.
I opened this card back in college and have been using it for about 8 years now on and off. I think the rewards program of 1% cash back all the time is pretty decent, but I find that the 5% offers that are good for 3 months at a time could be better. Sometimes they are for movies, department stores, and home improvement stores which I don't visit frequently enough to value the rewards. Other times though, they will be for gas, hotels, and flights, which is really helpful in saving money for large transactions, even if it is only 5 cents per dollar.
This is an excellent card that has allowed me to really raise my credit score to finance things that i want. I am happy with this service and i would recommend it to anyone
I love this card! A couple of months ago I started searching for my first credit card. I saw a lot cash back cards which were appealing, but I decided to go with the Capital One Venture Rewards card. Because I wanted to travel. And this card offered me free miles with every purchase. I earned bonus miles in my first month just by using my card to buy books and clothes. It's unbelievable that I can earn free airline tickets whenever I buy shoes or pay for gas. Their customer service agents are helpful, and fast. I have always had my questions quickly answered by an agent. The interest rates are comparable to other credit card companies, especially for people like me who barely have a credit history. The only reason I did not give it five stars is because of the yearly fee. It's a lot of money, but I do appreciate not having to pay it until next year. And I could always save $5 a month to pay the fees, so it's not that bad.
The best thing about this card is the fact that there is no fee each year. This is great if you only occasionally use the card rather than shopping there every week. The extras such as the cash back really work if you do all your office shopping at staples 5% on purchases can really add up. Although the APR is higher than some cards the payment options make it easy to pay the balance quickly while still gaining the benefits. Overall its worth having if you shop there a lot or tend to make 1 or 2 large purchases there per year. Thank you, Staples for giving me the ability to purchase office and school supplies on and offline. You have simplified my life with outstanding customer service, and prompt deliveries
The Mango Prepaid Card is a great card in my opinion. It enables someone with any credit history or even bad credit to enjoy some benefit that a cardholder would, like being able to shop online or setup a bill pay. They do charge you a fee if your don't load $500 a month but its minimal. Other prepaid cards such as AccountNow will charge you a fee per transaction. I recommend this card for those needed access to a Card but unable to secure credit.
The BankAmericard Travel Rewards Credit Card looks like a great credit card and I would like to apply for it. I use my credit cards to pay for most of my items, and I really like that I can get 1.5 points for every dollar that I spend, which is more than my current credit cards offer me. I also travel pretty frequently, as I have family members that live out of the country, so earning more points by using it on airline purchases is very beneficial to me. I also like that there are no foreign fees with this card.
This L.L. Bean Credit Card offers great interest rates, no annual fee, and a pretty solid reward structure if you like shopping at L.L. Bean. Like the brand with which it is associated, this card seems reliable and effective. No annual fee is always nice, since you're already paying interest rates on your purchases anyway. The only thing to keep an eye out for with this card is that it does require Good to Excellent credit and that the rewards are mostly useless for those who do not shop at L.L. Bean
I love my Walmart store business card! I shop at Walmart for most things since the prices are great and the usually have a wide range of items, including groceries, so its that many less trips to all over.
I am very interested in the Ann Taylor Loft credit card and I have asked several friends their opinions. Unfortunately, I do not know anyone who has actually used this card. The percentage rates seem average since the benefits and perks are nice. I was excited to see “The Royal Treatment” discount on your Birthday which is $15 off one in-store purchase during your birthday month and also 10% off every first Tuesday of every month at LOFT and LOFT.com. A downside is I noticed the grace period is 23 days whereas many of my other cards are 30 days. I guess that is better than a shorter 3-7 days grace period. My daughters and I use the Kohl's Card and the gimmicks there are very confusing (the merchandise quality is not great either). We will definitely be looking into our options with the Ann Taylor Loft card, this seems like an exciting new place for us to shop and use credit.
