Firstly, with the Radio Shack Store Card you have to be aware that Radio Shack has been bought out by Sprint and is having it's stores either closed down or turned into Sprint stores. So as a store card what utility it can have is limited in time and use. Even without that though, this card isn't the best. Interest is high and there's only a few benefits. No points, but you do get a discount on store-stocked batteries and free shipping on orders over 25. Given Radioshacks financial status, I would recommend staying away from this one and getting something like the Discover Student Card or any other bog standard card which will be around for the foreseeable future.
The Crate & Barrel Store Card is pretty mediocre, even for a basic store card. It's easy to get approved for but the interest rate is high and beyond 20 reward dollars for every 200 spent, there's not much in the way of rewards. If you shop a ton at Crate and Barrel it might be worth it. Failing that, a normal credit card would be more useful. Something like a Mastercard Rewards card or something like that would get you more rewards, more benefits, and at a better interest rate. All but the most die hard Crate & Barrel fans can pass on this one.
The Open Sky Secured Credit card is an interesting concept. It's kind of a hybrid between a reloadable credit card and a standard card. To obtain credit, you have to put money down. For example, you put 200 down as a deposit, and have up to 400 in credit as a result. This allows people with no or poor credit to build up a history. Unfortunately this card has a 25 dollar fee each time you add funds to it. This really adds to the cost over time. If you can't get anything else, it's an alright choice. But even so, you'll save more by getting something else as soon as you're able. You'd be better off looking at something like the Mastercard Prepaid Credit Card which won't nickle and dime you like this one.
As a big hunter, I love the Cabela's Credit Card. The interest on it is really good, and there are a ton of different rewards and poitns options for stuff you can buy at Cabelas. Adding to that, the points never expire so you can save them up for something big if you want. Plus, you can use it at other stores as a normal credit card, you just won't get as many benefits. It's a great way to save money as a hunting/sports enthusiast, a great way to build credit, and isn't as restrictive as a store card. Even compared to something like the Discover Rewards card, it's a very competitive card that can fit a lot of people's needs.
How useful this card is will really depend on whether or not you're a big Football fan and if you make a lot of football/NFL related purchases. If you do, this card is nice. Decent interest, good intro apr, and a ton of NFL-merchandise/service rewards points. That can save you a lot of money over time if you get a lot of those things. Without that though, it's not particularly special. You'll either get this for the NFL rewards or be better off searching for something like the Discover Rewards Card which be applied to more situations.
