First of all, when you deal with Home Depot,
particularly for large jobs, you are dealing with
a subcontractor, although thtey will lie and tell
you they "are" Home Depot. In point of
fact, they are transient, and the second the sale
is made, with all the lies you would expect
thereof, they are nowhere to be found.
Meanwhile, the enticement of the Home Depot 24 month interest free credit card. Only, by some "oversight", it is only 6 months, not 24 months when you receive it. You will spend weeks getting this sorted out.
However, they have your permission to bill the card, and therefore, will immediately bill you even when pricing isn't final, even if they don't have the total price, up or down. In short, I'm going to end up paying more, and getting less, and should have gone with a subcontractor, not affiliated with Home Depot. They didn't follow through, cancelled multiple times, leaving weeks of lost time in between, and meanwhile, want me to pay for something that should have been installed weeks ago. In short, I am now directing my sizable home improvement monies towards any other store that can accommodate. Directing business at Home Depot just perpetuates a narrow field and allows disreputable companies power that they abuse.… show more
