I have really enjoyed using my 1st Bank checking account. It has been the easiest account that I have ever opened and not having to pay a monthly maintenance fee to manage my money is a great perk. It is extremely convinient to pay my bills online through my account and I rarely have to order checks because I always use my Visa debit card everywhere I go. I have only had one issue which was resolved rather quickly but I feel it could have been faster. I had to dispute a charge and it took 3 days to get the temporary credit where my old bank it was instant. I'm just glad it was fixed and the customer service during this experience was great.
I love 1ST bank. I have my check directly deposited into my account. I am normally the first person at work that has there check already every pay day. I have the Totally free checking account. Unlike other banks I have used, they are really nice and all of the tellers know there jobs well. I've never had to wait for more than 5 minutes to cash checks or to purchase stamps. They are also really nice about letting me buy quarters so I can do my laundry. Some banks give you a hard time.
1ST Bank Totally free checking is awesome! No fees for anything but overdrafting. I had previously had an account at Bank of America with their eChecking but they would charge a nasty fee if you talk to a teller which was really frustrating considering their online and phone service was subpar. With 1ST Bank, while the account is pretty low frills it offers truly free checking and is super easy to use and cheap to maintain.
I contacted First Bank to see about my options for a checking account. The Custer Service Rep was very nice on the phone but could not answer every question I had and I had a hard time hearing them. Also the automated phone system they use to get you to a person could be refined and made better to allow a quicker connection to a live person and or rep. Over all beside this I was able to get the answers I needed to making a smart banking choice.
This is a great checking account. The fact that there is online bill pay, a relatively small overdraft fee and ease of use, this is a no brainer. With many other banks trying to nickel and dime you, it is nice to finally have a bank that just gives you something that is actually free! I can’t say enough good things about the customer service as well. They are very friendly and willing to help you with anything (even if it is to dispute an overdrawn fee or something like that).
This is a great checking account! Even though the overdraft fee is very high, you can call customer service to take it off, and they always refund you the overdraft fee. Also, if you receive a negative account balance fee of $5, customer service will remove most of it for you as well.
I am pleased to say I have been a 1st Bank customer for 11 years now. I know I can count on them to treat me with the respect and individuality that I deserve. When I have an issue with over draft fees due to unforeseen consequences, the tellers always do their best to solve the issue then and there for me. Everybody, from my phone conversations to actual in store visits – has a very upbeat and helpful personality. Honestly, I have never banked with another bank – and never wanted to. There isn't one single thing that 1st Bank hasn't been able to do for me, and I would recommend them highly.
We chose 1st Bank to be our checking account provider due to their proximity to our home. I often have paper checks to deposit, and wanted to be able to stop by when going to/returning from work. They have an easily-accessible ATM, and are always very friendly. A true home-town bank that we enjoy doing business with. We would highly recommend them.
First Bank is the best bank for savings accounts! I needed to open an account when I decided that stuffing cash into my wallet was not a good effective way to save my money anymore. I went to 1st Bank, and they set me up within minutes for a savings account with no annual fees. I was extremely happy when I learned that I would earn money each year if I kept my balance above a certain amount. Free money? Yes please! I have never had any issues with my savings account at this bank, and I definitely would recommend it to anyone!
Free checking all the time all day, no fees, no nothing! The 1ST BANK Totally Free Checking is great for someone who just needs to keep a little bit of money in the bank or wants to save up without any fees! It is really hard to find a bank that will give you no fees, everyone wants to charge you 10-25 dollars depending on the bank! ridiculous! I am glad i found this bank and it has made worrying about keeping money in the bank. The bank is friendly and helpful as well, signing up was painless, you would be a fool to skip out on this! Avoid those fees and sign up!
No, 1st Bank does not check your credit when opening a checking account. Although banks don't do credit checks for checking accounts, some might screen your banking history.
