I switched my auto policies to Cincinnati Ins. Co. after having my homeowner's insurance through them for about a year. I was with Safe Auto which I thought would be the cheapest, but my agent at Cincinnati asked if he could do a quote for me and I agreed. My policy, which included full coverage, was about $40 less per month than what I was paying for liability only through Safe Auto, and I got the added benefit of having an agent I already trusted! The first year, my service was great. I sold and purchased a new vehicle, and it was easy as could be getting everything switched over and my agent completed and faxed any paperwork required from them in no time at all. During the 2nd year of my policy, I actually backed into my husband's brand new car with my car in our own driveway. Talk about embarrassing! I called my agent, the claims process was painless, and they had both of our cars fixed in under 2 weeks and they waived our deductible. I don't think they can be beat in terms of customer service, quality, or price!
I decided to open a savings account at IHE Credit Union due to its close proximity to my home. Neither my husband nor I are International Harvester employees, but their membership guidelines are very lenient. We qualified due to the county we live in. I always get great service at the IHE Credit Union, and have never had a problem that was not solved immediately and 100% to my satisfaction. After having a savings account with them for about 3 years, we also ended up taking a car loan out through the credit union and received a great interest rate. The only reason they did not receive a 5-star rating from me is due to their hours; I would prefer them to be open later evenings and weekends.
I had banked at Fifth Third for close to 10 years, beginning in college due to the fact that they had a branch in our student union. They were not the best, but I never had any real problems with them until recently (2012). The past year until the middle of the year it's been one thing or another with them. I started getting charged $7.50 per month for my checking account that was always free before. I started getting charged a fee on my debit card, I was allowed so many “swipes” per month and after that I was charged. I don't feel that it is fair for them to start charging their customers for something that was always free before. Also, while I was never treated poorly at any of the branches, I feel their customer service is seriously lacking!
Wright-Patt Credit Union is simply the BEST. I have been a member for a little over a year now and cannot say how much I've enjoyed the experience. I had only banked at “traditional” banks before, but when WPCU opened a branch in my town I decided to give them a shot. I was fed up with the new fees and regulations I was being forced into by my traditional bank. The people at WPCU are always friendly and will help with any request I might have. They have extensive online banking, which I use on a daily basis, and I also refinanced an auto loan online and only had to go into the branch to sign papers, everything was ready and waiting when I got there. I really can't say enough about how much they genuinely care about their MEMBERS not just “customers”.
When I first purchased my Cincinnati Ins. homeowners policy, I was in the process of buying my 1st home and didn't know a thing about homeowners insurance. My agent was so helpful and answered every little question that I had thoroughly and did not act like it was a hassle to do so. Whenever I need anything, a fax to my Mortgage Co or a question about billing, I just send over an e-mail to my agent and I get a response back usually within 10 minutes! After a year of having my homeowners insurance through Cincinnati my agent called to ask where my auto policies were located, and I ended up switching to Cincinnati for the rates! I am saving money on both car and homeowners insurance with Cincinnati.
