The restriction of only being able to shop Amazon has its draw backs and getting a higher credit limit is a pain, even getting your original deposit deposited was a pain but once you have it, it's a good card for building credit

I got this credit card to build my credit . I added $100.00 dollars to charge a few small items and pay it off as soon as my bill arrived which is what I had done . I continued to shop on Amazon as always but unbeknownst to me Amazon had changed my default payment to this card instead of my debit card . So the $40.00 dollars I had charged turned into $103.00 by the time my first bill arrived . I had no idea how this could have happened ? I finally figured it out . I changed my default payment back to my debit card but they disregarded it the following month and again charged the Amazon card . By the time I noticed what was done it was a month later and I got hit with a late charge . Recently I had downloaded audible which is an Amazon service. I barely used it so I went to uninstall it. I still have the Amazon Bank app that the credit card is through and just out of curiosity I went to check it and I noticed that they had charged over $70 to my Amazon credit card. Not understanding where this charge came from and why I contacted customer service. To my horror they were charging the audible monthly service charge again to their Amazon credit card. It was bad enough that I owed over $70 for something I had canceled and never used. But that wasn't really the thing that was the most upsetting. The most upsetting part of it was that it would affect my credit score. Money can be refunded but your credit score once damaged takes forever to repair and people rely on their credit score to get jobs ,housing, loans all sorts of. I'm speaking to the customer service representative I was told that my default payment was the Amazon credit card. I logged in to my Amazon account while on the phone and it was completely untrue and my default payment had been my debit card which I had changed months earlier because of the other charges I had received. The most unbelievable thing was that I had four different cards yet they chose to use their Amazon credit card to charge even though my default payment was sent to my debit card. Needless to say somehow it wasn't reported as late payments to any credit agency and my money was refunded and I have now deleted that card from being used on my Amazon account. But as a customer I had no other recourse and it was wonderful that they refunded me my money because they never had a right to take it in the first place. But they did not get penalized in any way for just randomly choosing a different payment and it just so happens that it was a payment method that was earning them money. As a customer if I buy something I have to pay it but these companies have absolutely no disregard for trying to destroy someone's credit for absolutely no reason. The most upsetting part of it was I originally got this credit card because I became a single mother and wanted to build my credit. I was able to get this card because I had to add money to it in order to be able to charge with it and I thought it was a quick and easy way to build my credit. I figured I'd order a couple of items around $50 each month as soon as I receive my bill I would pay the whole amount off and it would be the best way to show creditors that I was responsible and were they getting a regular credit card. But instead it caused me frustration it caused my credit score to the negatively impacted because I was unaware that it was still being used after I had changed the default payment. And then months later to find out that for whatever reason when trying out one of their products I was again having the car charged when I made sure that in no way was it a default payment or checked off payment and yet Amazon still for whatever reason thought they had the right to pick that as my payment. Being charged for something can be disputed but it's very difficult to dispute with credit agencies when companies report late payments.

Amazon is so amazing they was the First ones to give me a chance to fix my credit score and so Far I am doing a pretty great Job at doing it

This card is great for purchases and increasing your credit ratings if you are trying to better your score. I would highly recommend it.

I obtained prepaid Amazon Secured Card to establish credit for myself. I have an $85 credit due to be refunded to me in 3 to 5 business days. I recently closed this account as i phoned in to pay balance of 15.00 and they wanted to charge me $1 for calling it in. The reason that I called it in was I received the statement with 15.00 due on April 14, 2023 and was questioning it because I paid with my debit card according to my records. Nevertheless I paid balance not even due yet and subsequently closed the account. I will follow up with them immediately.

I cancelled a partially started app (never completed it) and it was reported as a hard inquiry on my credit report. I will never apply again. I wish I could give this less than one star or minus stars for hurting my credit score.

I have been a Prime member for some time. My family has faced hardships within the last few years. My credit has suffered as I get back together. This card is an opportunity to help rebuild my credit score

Secured is like a savings account using my own money except loadable amount set aside even though someone else gets paid for the management even as a private label store card. Gary Tyree / GT 15-Jan-23.

Horrible I haven't got a chance to use it at all it keeps saying that it's kind of verify my identity and then after I do it suspends my account again and says they have to re-identify my identity and then after I send them proof they keep putting my account on hold and I haven't been able to use my money that I put on my card at all it's in problem after problem after problem I advise people to just shop eBay and get eBay credit cards because there's a lot more simpler a lot more put together and a lot more organized
