So i have automatic payment with American Eagle Federal Credit Union. Every month like clock work, they would draft my mortgage payments. In the past 9 years there has never been an issue. A few instances where they drafted the mortgage payment the day before pay day. usually, the second attempt does the job. On October 1st 2015, they drafted my mortgage payment. I had most of it in the account but was expecting my paycheck the very next day. they overdrew my account. ok i understand but you could of cut me a break like they have done in the past and all was well. they could have did a second attempt which they have done in the past.
One call to them says they did attempt the second one but the second call says their policy is not to do a second attempt. what's with the different story? By the way, second call was Ciara and her id number is 3519. She was nasty. i didn't stand a chance. She was condescending and demeaning. You could tell she was following a script. But this one was a doosey. she tried too hard to sound professional. She didn't know what she was doing and had a huge chip on her shoulder. Kept accusing me of threatening just because i mentioned that i will be taking my business elsewhere. She was a total loser who thought she was above the people she is supposed to be trying to work with.
Ok i get it. Lets work this out. I have my payments set to auto-pay every month, every financial institution that i do business with. We have had a miscalculation. Their attempts to call me on the situation failed due to the method in use. Voicemail, and letter. A very antiquated system. Who listens to voicemails anymore? Get with the times American Eagle #AmericanEagleSucks! Mail gets buried with all the other junk mail.. Get with the times. We are in paperless mode.. Get a hint American Eagle Federal Credit Union.
Ok.. lets talk about how they treat their most valued customers. I get it. I messed up and missed a payment. Miscalculated my finances over this missed payment. I'm asking for a reasonable option to set us straight.. without putting me in financial distress during the holidays.
The response i got threw me back. From the very 1st minutes, I was already being treated as a deadbeat. Was given the 3rd degree. Was insulted as if i was saying that i couldn't pay my mortgage and was going through hard times. I was even given advice about my finances as if this happens all the time.
WOW! 9 years, never missed a payment, I'm calling in good faith to straighten out the situation and you treat me like a deadbeat. I have had other loans with them in this time frame. all spotless. How could they treat their valued customers this way.
One service rep touted that they did not need my business as they had many more. By the way.. that was Ciara 3519.. She was nasty...
OK.. now. I'm a loyal customer. 9 years because i don't shop around. you treat me right. you have me for life.
So on the second call, i realized that they automatically thought i was saying that i couldn't pay my mortgage and needed an assistance plan. Geez.. All i was asking was if they could defer the payment a few months so i can get things in order. that one paymentissue3 which was attributed to technology and schedule. Happens in all big business. Figure out how not to screw your customers #AmericanEagleSucks.. what was the harm in making it work for me.. but no.. they don't trust their tenured customers. they rather start on a road to foreclosure and other options for losing my home. WOW! This is where we are. Got it.. Lesson Learned. But we will get our record straight with a different establishment.
Could it be because I am Hispanic? I don't know, but I sure felt like i was being stereotyped or discriminated against.
I'm a well established professional with a very strong career. But i also have a family. it was and honest mistake. That's not the point. It was an honest mistake and i asked for their help and I was treated like deadbeat. We have a payment plan in place.. It will definitely put me and my 11 month boy in a bind for the Holidays. Thanks for the Merry Christmas #AmericanEagleSucks. Ciara 3519 suggested i forgoe Christmas and handle my financial responsibility. WOW!
They had the nerve to say they valued my business and hope to see more of it in the future.. NEVER! After the way i was treated? Go pound rocks. I will be moving my business elsewhere. I will make sure that everyone i know, hears about this disgusting situation. Look for me on Facebook, twitter and even snapchat with some really fun clever memes. They screwed up on the automatic payment system and the stopped all future attempts to get my mortgage payments. so in other words.... my money is no good with them anymore… show more
