The credit card purchase protection for the Barclaycard is the worst I have ever dealt with. I was scammed by an online merchant in France. After I paid for the service online I tried to get the merchant to provide the service. After repeated delays I requested a refund and was told by the merchant they do not give refunds. So I paid aprx $400 to a merchant that refused to provide the service paid for or a refund. I filed a dispute with Barclays. They are very uncommunicative with the cardholder during this process. They don't ask for any details or information about the dispute from the cardholder until the initial review is already decided. Then 10 days later I got a letter that they were declining my dispute and I could finally respond with more evidence. I submitted the details of the communication and confirmed that the service had not been provided. Over a month later I got a letter again declining the dispute with a simple reason "The merchant has not violated the terms and conditions of the contract". The merchant never provided the services that I paid for, not sure why Barclays doesn't consider this a violation of the "Terms and conditions of the contract". They clearly don't care about actually providing purchase protection to their cardholders, it's just a front to make them look like they care. This was my first time using the Barclays Purchase Protection dispute and bc of this I will be switching my credit card use to my Alaska Airlines Visa Card which has been very honest and good in resolving purchase protection issues in the past.
My wife bought online and the vendor charged our credit card, later the vendor issued a credit because they were shipping short. The merchandise never arrived, got lost. I file a complaint to the vendor, but the vendor does not have customer support office in the USA and did not answer my emails. I placed a dispute with Jet blue credit card by barclaycard. The dispute was closed in a month. They never notified us. There is no message in their portal, there is no dispute page in the portal. I called, and they told me I have to place a new dispute. I asked for a supervisor. She said that she is opening a new claim that the dispute department closed the dispute without a reason. That I have to wait 7 to 10 days for a call. I will say that this company has a terrible dispute department with no dispute page, they make it so difficult for the customer that is not worth it. For now I will not use this credit card again for any online transaction, and I think in the near future to close the account.
In the beginning I did kind of like the fact that you earn apple gift cards, but interest rate is high and just feel like they don't care much for customers. With other CC I feel like I more and better perks
Mosaic is the highest status level in JetBlue's frequent flyer program.
To qualify, you must earn 15,000 points from Jet Blue airfare purchases each year or earn 12,000 points and pay for at least 30 flight segments (e.g. a flight with one connection is two segments) on an annual basis.
Mosaic offers the following benefits to members and anyone flying on a member's reservation:
There's currently no way to check for Barclaycard pre-approval. At least, that's the case for Americans: You can use Barclays' credit card eligibility checker if you live in the UK. The only hope the rest of us have of Barclaycard pre-approval is to get a pre-approved offer in the mail. And there's no way to summon such a letter. Barclaycard pre-approves people on its own schedule, according to its own criteria. And they obviously aren't public.
Getting pre-approved for a credit card is helpful because it means you have a roughly 90% chance of being approved for an account when you actually apply. But just because you can't do an official Barclaycard pre-approval check doesn't mean you're flying blind. There's a lot of information available that can help you estimate your odds of being approved for whichever Barclaycard you have your eye on.
Here's what to consider in place of Barclaycard pre-approval:
Reportedly, there once was a Barclaycard pre-approval screening tool. And while there isn't one now, that shouldn't be too big of a deal. Pre-approval lets you check your chances without a hard inquiry, but even pre-approved people have to submit a formal application. And if you're up to date on your credit score and have a clear picture of your finances, you should be able to decide if applying for a Barclaycard is worth it.
If it's not the right call because your credit score is less than good, there are plenty of credit cards for people with fair, limited and bad credit from other issuers. Many of them let you check for pre-approval, too.
To activate a JetBlue Card, you can either go to the Barclays activation website, call the activation line at (877) 408-8866, or download the Barclays mobile app on your phone. You will need to provide your date of birth, your card number, and the last 4 digits of your Social Security number, among other information required to verify your identity.
Some people wonder whether they really need to activate a new card. The answer is yes, because you won't be able to use the card until it's activated. If it's your first Barclaycard, you'll need to set up your online banking credentials, too. This can be done through the Barclays website after activation, or through the Barclays app by tapping “New cardmembers - Set up online access.”
The Mastercard® Black Card's requirements for approval include a good credit score, U.S. residency, and enough income to afford the card's $495 annual fee and monthly bill payments. Barclays (the issuer of the Mastercard® Black Card) doesn't publish specific income requirements, but the more you earn and the less you owe already, the better your chances for approval. Applicants must also be at least 18 years old.
Even if you do meet the requirements for the Mastercard® Black Card, it's likely not your best option. It has a huge annual fee, and the rewards don't quite live up to what you can get with other cards. You get a simple 1 point per dollar on all purchases, which is less than the average rate for rewards credit cards. It also offers a $100 annual airline credit and airport-lounge access, with the latter being the only benefit you'll receive that you can't get from a card with no annual fee.
While the card offers an introductory balance transfer APR of 0% for 15 months, it has a balance transfer fee of 3% (min $5). So, it may be a cool looking card with its stainless-steel design, but there are better cards that will give you more bang for your buck.
JetBlue points do not expire due to account inactivity. But if you close your JetBlue Credit Card account, you'll lose any unredeemed points.
