We had a car loan with Bellco. All went fairly well. I monitored the account closely. After we paid it off, I stopped monitoring more than once every 6 months or so. Nothing to report. Then, just this month, I looked and they have been charging me $5 a month for no activity for 6 months. Not a single warning or notification via electronic or snail mail. Pure opportunism/greed. They send at least 2 promotions a month for Bellco car insurance, life insurance coverage, etc. and yet they have no respect for the business we had together, or the assets we had in our account after the car loan. What did customer service do when I alerted them to this? ..."on page 3 of our rules and terms, it states etc. etc" . That is no substitute for respectful customer service. How hard is it to send a simple notification out of respect for your long time customer that you just made a lot of money off of already?
The person i talked to in repo department was very unhelpful and heartless. They wanted $1850 plus stow fees just to get my car back i was hoping they would work with me since work been slow but could care less I'm very hurt thanks for your help
Got pre approved for a car loan from Bellco. Was told to find a car then call back. I found a car,put a deposit and called Bellco to let them know. Miranda Powers and Deana Johnson Jerked me and the Chevrolet Dealer around so bad for over 4 weeks.I got so disgusted with their excuses and unprofessionalism I went to another Credit Union and got my loan and the car in 2 days. My wife and I are so mad with these people the we are closing our accounts on the 1st of the year.
I've had a Bellco account for almost two decades and I am DONE with them. Every time over the past 5 years I've needed to complete a major transaction (buy a house, for example), it's a complete hassle, all in the name of "fraud prevention". Yes, I changed my address... I MOVED. They are happy to take your money and hold it, but really don't seem to want to let you withdraw it. The whole point of having mobile banking capabilities is to allow customers the freedom to do things without going into a branch (of which they don't have many), and yet that seems to be the only way I'm able to complete things like a simple wire tranfer. Ridiculous. I'm shopping for a new bank after giving them chance after chance after chance.
We have a business account with them. We had to create one because the house we sold was in our trusts. They won't let us access the proceeds of the sale, except at daily $5k limits, $15k monthly limits, unless we PAY for a wire transfer or cashiers check, AND we have to go inside the bank to get one of those...HELLO we are going through a GLOBAL PANDEMIC. I don't want to go inside anywhere. They also won't allow us to deposit checks through the website or mobile app...they are claiming we need personal accounts with them to do this. What business account doesn't allow check deposits?!?! Apparently this one.

Wanted to set up an International Wire Transfer. Was put on hold for almost an hour and a half only to be told that anything put on after 3pm Eastern Time would be voided, and that a wire could not be post-dated. Would be great if I'd been advised of any of that before wasting all that time. Would also be great if any of this could be done online, like they do in the rest of the world. Hopeless.
Bellco is the worst credit union I've ever had the displeasure of doing bussiness with. Would not recommend. Such a horrible place, staff is inconsiderate. This place is joke, try any other credit union or bank!
Bellco is terrible. Their due dates are often on the weekends. When you go to pay a day early or on time, their system is down and cant process your payment. If you are out of town you cant walk it in. You get it paid on the next business day, but Bellco reports you as late, even though it was their fault. This has happened to me at least 3 times. Also they are impossible to talk to by phone. I am paying off my CC and will close the account. They really suck!!
