Care Credit does not post your payments and does not deduct them from your balance, but they take your money from your bank account. This is fraud.

I've used the card once for a $3400 dental purchase. Paid it off in less than a year during its 2 yr interest-free promotional. I've read horror stories here BUT I keep seeing the same two things; I missed a payment or I carried a balance. If you're in a promotional window, make your payments. If you're not, make your payments...or don't carry a balance. But if these weren't issues for you, you likely had an alternative. At the time, all I had was a $500 Amex so I opened the Carecredit. Now that I've got other options, I'll likely use it solely for vet care. Keep using it and keep the account open until you can get something better!!

I had this card for about 11 years until today.I assume I never had a late payment otherwise I would’ve realized how they go about charging you interest on a late payment and don’t ever inform you that payments made dont pay it off and instead you will incur interest on it. I recently realized a difference between my promotional balance and my current balance and upon calling for the second time a representative was able to tell me that the difference was due to a late fee that I had incurred in 2020 and that I was being charged interest on that late fee all along. Now that I am due to pay off my promotional balance I have a remaining balance of 73 which includes the $29 late fee and the rest is in interest. You would think that for being late one time in the 2years that they would work with you and remove the fees charged. Instead, an “account specialist”, also considered to be a manager, by the name of Shannon stated that there was nothing that could be done at all. She instead allowed me, an 11 year Customer, to close the account. I find this to be absolutely outrageous.

They will hit you with all kinds of reoccurring hidden fees a couple of months after using it, making the bill much higher than where you started. It ends up costing you more than if you had just used a regular interest credit card. Customer service lines are just for show. After keeping you on hold forever in both the chat and phone, they’ll tell you they don’t have the ability to assist.

DO NOT USE THIS LINE OF CREDIT. They have predatory practices like implementing security fees without your knowledge and extremely high interest rates. I went backwards in my credit because I was being charged $60 for a security feature I didn't need or want. I only owed $1200.00 at first then next thing you know I owe $3100. They were hitting me with that security fee and since i was only paying the minimum it made my account go backwards. DO NOT USE CARE CREDIT.

Apparently, as part a some “promotion” I wasn’t aware of, I got billed $480 in accrued interest after the “promotional period” expired. They were charging me “min. interest” every month, so I was non the wiser until I opened the app and saw the charge. After finally connecting with someone, I was told that if I paid the balance roughly $1000) immediately, they wouldn’t charge the additional $480. Good thing I had the 1G, otherwise I’d be screwed. Very devious. Stay away!!!

Care Credit is the Worst I have ever dealt with!!! The people on the phone have no customer service skills! They are rude and every time you ask for help with the account it's always no they can't do it!! I called today to switch my due date from June 2nd to June 20th but they can't help me till July! But I was told first that I could with no payment in June bit a payment in July only to be told 2 more times I can't change it till July?! Also they have a very condescending tone as everyone is stupid but them! I've never received any help from them only wanting if I'm late 1 day a late fee which I haven't been. I actually tried to give a half of a star but it went one and actually I shouldn't even give that because dealing with them is horrible everytime!!

DO NOT OPEN THIS CARD!! If you do not have your charge paid off in 6 months, they will sock it to you!! They went back to original charge and hit me with $172. interest fee. When I make a $50.00 payment, $25.00 goes to balance, other $25.00 goes to interest. I just got hit with $67. fee today, that I dont understand. I have made every payment on time. Open up any other credit card but not this one!!! It will keep you in debt!!
