Unknown to me, my Debit card chip is malfunctioning. Also unknown to me is Chase sees the malfunction and it triggers a fraud review, placing a hold on my account. The hold goes into effect Saturday morning with no text or e-mail advisory to myself. Essentially the weekend is a loss. I find out about the hold when I actually call CHASE at the ATM in their local office, now a teller-less autobot, too large for the space they rent, indoor volleyball court. now I am in the know that my card has been placed on fraud review hold and it will be removed and good to use almost immediately.
NEXT DAY.....Card is no good because chip is the real problem.
Monday, I show up at Data Center Bullshenter...they cannot issue any cash because the castrated Tellers have no access to something like cash. I am told to walk 1/2 mile to the next CHASE location where they can help me. with a vacation three days away and the need to have a replacement card and cash for the weekend......off for a long walk in the rain I went.
New location was able to issue me cash, order me a new card, apologize for the useless Bullshenter 500 feet from my house.
Finally, if I would do everything on my phone, never-mind I presently do all of my banking on line, but not good enough, they insist on phone apps, which I choose NOT for personal security reasons. The Bullshenter would help only if I went phone app.
Here come the robots folks....RUN!!!
