For the most part, I've been very satisfied with this credit card. Frequent shoppers on Amazon.com benefit the most from this credit card, however. That is because of the credit card's point system. For every dollar you spend, you earn a point. For every dollar you spend at gas stations, restaurants, and drugstores, you earn two points. For every dollar you spend on Amazon.com, however, you earn three points. These points can then be redeemed for credit on Amazon.com. (For every 100 points, you get a $1.00 towards your purchase.) Redeeming these points for credit on Amazon.com is pretty easy and you can do it any time, regardless of your points total.
If you want to redeem your points for anything besides a credit on Amazon.com, then your options are more limited. There are other options such as cash back, but in order to redeem these offers, you have to reach a certain amount of points. This is a drawback of the Amazon credit card. The point system is inflexible and if you're not a big shopper on that site and have nothing to buy in particular, the points are not as useful.
The customer service has been solid. The web site is also very easy to use. The credit card is issued by Chase, which I think is a positive. I find that Chase has good security measures in place to protect its customers. Overall, I do rate the Amazon credit card highly. I would definitely recommend this card to people who frequently shop on Amazon.com.… show more
