Electric Insurance has consistently been difficult to work with. Their app is very outdated, will be "Unavailable at this time" etc. They have been very difficult to work with over the phone and their responsiveness is poor. They seem to be quite disorganized and overall a poorly run enterprise. I am kicking myself for sticking with them for as long as I did (I got a corporate discount) but am honestly relieved to be moving on. Hopefully I have a better experience with my next provider.

We had Electric Insurance on our cars for 13 years, and were enrolled in autopayments through our insurance agency. Around the time of my mother's passing, apparently they decided we were behind in our payments. I don't know what went wrong in their system, but they cancelled us, and refused to hear anything from my insurance agency or myself to work it out (and we were perfectly willing to catch up and continue), then threatened to put us to collection for the back-pay which after their forcing us to take our business elsewhere we didn't want to pay for the obvious reason that if they were gonna mess up and cancel us after so many years when we were already on autopay with them and didn't want to hear a thing about it from us, well we didn't want to hear a thing about it either after moving on to a better deal anyway. So over $500 or so, we went from former customers who ended up finding a better deal anyway, to people and their friends who now tell everybody not to do business with this company and why.
Horrible, what a disappointment after over 13 years of having been loyal, sayisfied customers to them. Rude, unfriendly, completely lacking in compassion, and unaccountable for their mistake - such a significant decline from where they were. The whole scene has become downright criminal, but this was genuinely disappointing. Is this the kind of company you want to do business with?

I am a customer who has been under this company since I turned sixteen. I love this company because just like they said, my car insurance did go down with my grades. I was originally paying around $70 a month – or $840 per year – and it had gone down to $50 a month – or $600 per year. Also, I was in a car wreck recently – a car had rear-ended me – and the entire process was so easy. I was so pleased with how they had done things, and I even got a trip to the chiropractor for a crook in my neck for free! This company definitely went out of its way to make sure I was okay after my wreck.
