North Carolina Farm Bureau Insurance Group

I have had Farm Bureau since 12/05/2014 and have never filed a claim until 07/06/2019. I have paid thousands of dollars and have had $1000 deductible. The quote the adjuster gave was $3,564.73. I was mailed a check for $2046.52 and told by the adjuster that when the roofer turned in the invoice, he was to state $3,564.73 or I would not get the $518.00 to fix the damage inside my home. I told him I would not ask the roofer to lie. He then stated I would not get the $518.00.
The roofer found a leak around the chimney on the side that did not need the repair and I called the adjuster and he stated he had seen it but they would not cover it. So, I asked him why he did not tell me why he did not mention the leak to me and he just went silent and did not answer. Our insurance commissioner needs to be made aware of this behavior. The company keeps all monies paid in throughout the year and never wants to give it up when there is an issue.
If the adjuster denies any of our conversations, perhaps a polygraph would be in order. The check only covered 1/2 the repairs the house had to have. I will not be renewing my policy with your company.

Unfortunately my fiance' was insured with Farm Bureau of NC, Had to file an uninsured Motorist claim for her "Totaled" vehicle and had to deal with a very unsympathetic Adjuster who undervalued her vehicle by a Thousand plus dollars saying it was not a retail condition because it had wear , (no appreciable damage or accidents) and had to take it or leave it, No supervisor willing to intercede. really the worst experience of my Professional life as an Adjuster of 40 plus years. Absolutely unbelievable.......I hope anyone reading this will amplify my concern as a Public Service. This company NC FARM BUREAU is not your good neighbor.

NCFB is the worst insurance company I came across. They cheated me very much. Their client hit my care from behind and it was totaled. Mike Bush of NCFB dealt with me. He is a racist. He never wanted to listen to me but wanted me to accept his offer. Whenever I tried to explain he shot down the phone inappropriately. Then I talked to his boss Robert. He agreed to my demand after listening my side of the story. The next day both of them denied saying he di not promise to me. They hurt me mentally and accident hurt me physically. They dragged the case for 3 years and finally denied my payment after getting my car license and signed document. Now I lost me care and lost my claim for the loss. Please do not do business with NCFB. They are the worst people I ever met. Thanks.

Horrible experience. Our agent is responsive, but clueless. Didn't update our address when we purchased our new home. Didn't find out until 4 months later when they tried to bill us for 2 properties. Filed a claim for home damage after Hurricane Florence. Adjuster was sent quickly, but grossly under-reported damage to our roof. They sent an inadequate amount to cover the damage. They didn't even send an itemized report of what they were going to cover. Called to have report sent and was told to call this office, then that office, then this office....

Still no report. Trying to get a 2nd adjuster to come out and meet with our contractor and can't get anyone on the phone! They say, "we'll call you back" and I never hear from them. As soon as this is resolved, we are definitely switching. Save yourself the trouble folks....there is a reason they are so cheap! They'll be just fine until you really need them, then they'll leave you and what's most dear high and dry. Good job, NCFBIG.

Hands down the worst experience of my life. Really to traumatic to go into detail. But when you're watching everything you have ever worked for AND your loved ones burn on a house fire the last thing you want to hear from farm bureau is "im eating the office will be open later ". Things only got worse from there. Tell you're loved ones to stay away from farm bureau

The agent Phillip Jones was very rude and nasty to. He kept stating what the broker said and I sent an email to the broker and she refuses to answer. While trying to ask a question he hung up on me. Was trying to have a Community event and can not because of all the lies from this insurance company. I do not recommend anyone using this company.

I am with this insurance company for 5 years.
I was started with Brent and until he left company i got excellent service.
Then Shelby took over my account.
I am very basic customer, i got my bill and I pay. Easy. No accident, nothing in 5 years.
After 5 years , I got extra $440 bill.
I called and learned that I didn't pay membership ($25).
I paid everything for 5 years and they can easily see that i missed this one.
I never receive any reminder call or e mail. I paid my last invoice november by phone and you guys did not mention anything.

She said that I have to follow, they cant check every customer. etc etc.

I said it was my mistake, when Brent left , i have to go with him instead of stay with company. I will correct my mistake on Monday.

Than I received e mail from her ( first time in 3 years) , She said that they gonna charge me short rate fee if I left company.

Do not worry , I will pay whatever you charge but You never get my business back.

My husband totaled his Jeep in a deer collision and this company did not pay for the value of the vehicle. They are more than happy to charge exorbitant fees for insurance coverage but when it comes time for them to settle a legitimate claim expect to deal with rude adjusters. They will cheat you out of your hard earned money and you will be left without a vehicle.

NEVER dealt with an insurance company more niggardly than this one. They refused to put OEM parts on my car (a difference of only $190) even though their client hit me. After a going back and forth about it for over a week, I decided to bite the bullet and pay the difference myself- this is a poor business practice. My car already took a hit in value due to a carfax report of an accident, the least this company could do is return it to it's state before the accident. If this is how these guys treat their claimants, they will NEVER insure anything I own- and I certainly hope I don't get hit with anyone else carrying their insurance!

I highly recommend Farm Bureau Insurance. Nathan Ray cares about his clients. As my agent, Nathan meets me with intelligence, patience, humor, warmth, knowledge and empathy. I've required many changes to my policy since my recent move to the area; Nathan has served me with speed and kindness every time; I always trust Nathan to do his absolute best for me. I'm in awe of the way Nathan handled my recent claim -- no other way to put it -- I felt utterly taken care of; the procedure was flawless. I want to give a shout-out to John as well, the adjustor.
