Northland Insurance

I was coming up for renewal with my current insurance company and agent shopped around for other options. I assumed it was an apples to apples comparison as i've used this agency for a few years and they have been very professional, helpful and knowledgeable. They came back with a quote from Northland Ins. and what they claimed was better coverage for less money now that I had been in business for over 2 years. I switched and for the first few mos. all was perfectly acceptable. They took my money every month and never complained, real troopers if you will. Then one day I had an incident that needed a professional insurance companies claims dept. I wish it never happened but it did. Northland left me flying in the wind like they have done to many others apparently from the reviews i've found online. Not to mention the lawsuits that seem endless. I recommend that anyone needing insurance run from Northland. I would have been so much better staying with progressive. Never had a problem with progressive or felt like I wasn't operating safely. I feel like my coverage with northland is subpar at best and am concerned about my future as well as god forbid the person that is also involved in any incident that could possibly involve insurance with Northland. BEWARE, GREAT PRICE, CLAIMS SERVICE, NOT SO MUCH!

A few months ago my family and I were buying a home. This was going to be our first home. We had been searching for great home insurance companies but it was hard to find what we were looking for. Finally, after weeks of searching we came across Northland Insurance. Their information on their website seemed great. We talked to them in person and they answered all of our questions and it seemed very legit. So we decided to take them up on their offer. However, that was one of the worst mistakes we have ever made. After I decided on them, they would never answer a single phone call. I have filed complaints against them but none have been answered. They never answer your phone calls and they are very hard to deal with. When you actually get to talk to them they are rude as can be. If I were you I would stay far away. Needless to say I am with another company now and will never go back to Northland Insurance.

I have been doing business with Northland for quite a while. If fact, they were the first company I got car insurance through. My agent really guided me through the process of getting the insurance. Since then I have switched my car insurance to another company. This was only because they had an agreement though my work that got a much better rate. But, I still get renters insurance through then for a cousin I take care of. Overall, the service has been great and they, for the most part, have very competitive rates. I hope that I'm able to do business with them again in the future.
