Recently had a car accident and it is impossible to speak to an adjuster. I’m on my second week six phone calls and absolutely nothing. I never in my life seen an insurance company like this. I highly recommend a zero. Stay far away from these people! Run around company! Phone tag every time you call.

Not happy. I've been loyal to this company for many years and always paid my premium in one payment in full each year. This year I added a second car to my account. When the premium was adjusted, I went online to my account and opted for 10 installments instead of the single payment. I made this adjustment 3 weeks before my first premium payment was due. The due date came, and I noticed my card had not been charged, so I called my rep. Rep assured me over the phone that there was a glitch in their system, that my premium payment would be doubled for the next month, my card charged at the end of the next month, and all would be well, my coverage wouldn't lapse. Today, over 3 weeks after that conversation, I get a letter in the mail saying my coverage ended at the end of the last billing period. I'd been driving with NO INSURANCE for the last FEW WEEKS, with NO NOTIFICATION except for a lousy letter that shows up almost a month later. God forbid I'd been in an accident. I'd have no coverage, no knowledge of lack of coverage, and my life could've been ruined.

Be very careful with this company! My deceased Mother's home insurance was cancelled with little notification. As a result of COVID, the estate has not been closed with no date in sight. Underwriting refused to speak with me. Mind you, my parents were customers of this company since 1993. Upon explaining the situation, they could have cared less. I guess it has somehow escaped them that there is global pandemic going on and things take a little bit longer to close. I would strongly suggest using a different company for your insurance needs.

They gave you notice I’m sure. The DOBI has strict guidelines for the timeline for cancellation notice other than nonpayment. You likely ignored any notices or did not pay the premium on its renewal date which is a default cancellation because you technically aren’t agreeing to the renewal declarations by not paying the premium at the start of the renewal policy period.

You probably lied about household residents with access to the vehicles or did not complete the phone discount app if you opted in for it or could’ve not provide documents to underwriting on something they called into question (likely ignoring the letters and emails they send repeatedly) for a premium to increase. But three time the amount? I’d bet everything I own that the increase of “three times” the agreed upon policy premium is quite exaggerated. Because once a policy is bound, unless false or unverifiable information was provided by the applicant at bind, the company bound to that rate for the selected term period as well unless YOU initiate change or CAUSE for change. Otherwise, even if you had three at fault accidents the very first week, your premium would not change until your history and the selected coverage is rated again at renewal.
I’ll drop the mic for you now…

I have had car insurance with Plymouth Rock Insurance for many years. Each year I paid the 6 month premium in full. Every year the cost went up. I just retired this year so I was trying to decrease expenses. When I bought my new Honda CRV and with all its safety features the cost went up. The 6 month car renewal was up shortly after I bought the car and the cost went up even more. I have a perfect driving record, since retirement I cut travel mileage in half. I called the Insurance Company up to renegotiate and they were able to cut costs by $5. During that time I called other insurance companies for car insurance and with more coverage I was able to obtain insurance in the $400.00 range. I went to liberty mutual, travelers, all state and geico. Again all in the 400.000 range. I During my search I spoke to senior management at Plymouth. They said the knew they were high but they could do little about it because they were regional. They apparently do not wish to retain customers either. At the end of the day I was a to able to buy at 411.00 vs 713.00. I was not able to get a full refund from Plymouth due to processing fees which I was not aware of. I would recommend to anyone to shop around. Never put in a claim with them either.

HORRIBLE! When I switched from Progressive having FULL COVERAGE, then opened a new Policy with Plymouth Rock, I told the girl, Natalie, on the phone I wanted FULL COVERAGE, she said okay, everything is the same, and I am good to go. And, she even acknowledged how Progressive was charging me so much! Well, she screwed-up my policy, and gave me liability only. I got into a car accident 9 days after switching from Progressive. I thought I still had FULL COVERAGE, but didn't. She never explained any terms to me. If she knew I wanted FULL COVERAGE, then why didn't she mention to put it on my Policy? I would NEVER downgrade to just Liability.. Why would I? So I could end up just like this? And another thing, she's trying to say I never purchased my policy through her, when I know for a fact I did, because I CLEARLY, and DISTINCTLY REMEMBER asking for HER name, and direct line, so I could call her back with my credit card info to GO THROUGH HER to PAY FOR THE POLICY! I even have the emails, and call log to prove it! She emailed me saying I purchased it through an agent, when this agent wasn't even assigned to me yet. I spoke to the agent, and they even agreed that I never purchased my policy through them. Hmmm... sounds a little funny to me. This girl Natalie's credibility doesn't sound good at all! Plain and simple, she screwed up my policy, doesn't want to take the blame, and now I'm out of a vehicle. People are human, we all mistakes, and we are also all supposed to own up to them. What ever happened to that? I asked one of Reps if the phone call was recorded, so they could HEAR that I said I wanted FULL COVERAGE, but it never was. So, what am I supposed to do now? Eat someone else's mistake? I CLEARLY THINK NOT!

My family has been using this insurance company for years and I have nothing but great things to say about them! They have always been quick to respond about inquiries and very helpful when we have had any problems. Its a small group of people so they always know who you are and what your current status is. I can't recommend them enough.

I have had Plymouth Rock Assurance since I first purchased a car back in 2006. I have had nothing but great experiences, and believe me, I've been through some troubles! Not more than two months after purchasing my car, I hit a deer while on some back roads near my home (it was more of the deer hit me since the side of my car was damaged). Plymouth Rock Assurance sent a rep right away to give me a quote. My car was fixed and back in my driveway within two weeks of the initial accident. I highly recommend this insurance company.

I have had Plymouth Rock Assurance as my car insurance for over 5 years now. I am very happy with coverage and customer service, but most importantly the price has been so much better than any other company. Every year I have compared prices with other insurance companies, and time and time again, Plymouth Rock Assurance gives me the best price and best policy.

Yes, Plymouth Rock has accident forgiveness for car insurance customers. Plymouth Rock accident forgiveness applies to one accident every policy period, and it can be purchased as a policy add-on.
Keep in mind that Plymouth Rock accident forgiveness is per policy, not per driver. As a result, if one driver on a shared policy caused an accident in the past policy period, the other named drivers cannot have an accident forgiven.
Even though it will add to your premium, Plymouth Rock accident forgiveness is still a good investment if you're concerned about your coverage costs increasing significantly after an accident. On average, Plymouth Rock premiums go up by 62% after an at-fault accident, so paying for accident forgiveness can save you money long-term.
