Worse customer service ever. After corresponding with someone through messages, I realized the copy and paste option works very well for this customer service department. I never felt like I was talking to an actual person through messages on my secure portal. I called to get help with the same issue and unfortunately since a late fee was reversed over 2 years ago they cannot help me with another reversal. Although I made the payment one day late and have not been late in the past 2 years no one can help me. This is by far the worse card I have and the worse customer service I have ever experienced. Stay away from this card!
I opened this online and was instantly approved and used it with no problem. When my card arrived it was in my old married name from over 7 years ago, which was legally changed then and haven't used since my divorce. Not sure how this happened but when I called to request that it be changed and explained that I didn't enter this last name in application they wanted me to upload a divorce decree when it wasn't my mistake to begin with. Not going to courthouse to request one to jump through hoops to fix an issue they created. Closed account since they couldn't perform a simple task.
Never any issues with this card. It was very nice to have when I had perks card and sales happened, but since Catherines went to online only during covid, the shipping costs are enormous. Therefore I don't think I'll be able use it again.
I opened an account and was sent a card. I asked them about the promotion I signed up for. The card they sent me made no mention of it in the terms. I sent them a message through my account. They never answered and it just shows a message that they are behind due to covid. this was 14 days ago. If they cannot answer a new customer question, I can just imagine if an issue arose. This card is going in the trash.
Zero stars would be more appropriate, but not an option. I have had nothing but problems with Comenity since their system wide outage that went on and on. The most recent issue: the Mastercard earns a percentage in Cashback rewards that you can then apply to your balance due -- in theory that is. It used to work until their system "enhancements" (a laughable term as enhancements should make things better, not worse), but now when you request a credit is gets deducted immediately from your Rewards Account but never actually applies to your balance due as a credit. Multiple attempts to resolve with customer service have not corrected anything. First there is the very long wait to even be connected, then the constant being put on hold 'while I check on this', only to come back on the line and say "yes, I can confirm that you have not received the requested credit". I know that already, that's why I called. Then you are given different 'explanations' by each agent you speak with with. The first time I was told to allow 6 business days for credit to appear. I said its been more than that, in fact it's been 30 days. then it was well maybe it will take longer this time because of the system "enhancements" (that word again). Call back 2 weeks later (still no credit). Now I'm told it takes 45 days. I said well that would be today. Back on hold so they could get a calendar and count. Then tells me well you have to allow 24 to 48 hours after that for it to show up in your account. So then that would be 46-47 days? No...45 days plus up to 48 hours to post. LOL. Then tells me If don't have it by then you can always call us back. (Won't that be fun!!!). I've already stopped using the card. And as soon as I get this credit I will be canceling all cards serviced by Comenity/Bread Financial. Anybody else experiencing this problem?
