Credit Sesame

Too long to update. Updated info is false. I’ve tried to reach them to no avail. Not sure what to do at this point because the info you have is inaccurate.

My experience with Credit Sesame was very bad because I had fraudulent charges made to my Sesame Cash card & after numerous phone calls and emails & filling out dispute forms and just hours of trying to get these issues resolved and being told by Credit Sesame that I would receive a provisional credit of $70 (which I never received) and recover the charges totalling $284 dollars that were made to my card, I received an email from Credit Sesame stating that they were not going to be of any help to me. Everytime I contacted Credit Sesame I spoke to a different person who told me something completely different. And using Credit Sesame did not improve my credit score. And it's not all free, I paid $15 a month for nothing. Save yourself a lot of time and money and frustration and avoid using Credit Sesame. I wish I had never used them.

I have a credit sesame account and when it was added to my credit report my score went down 60 points which was very disappointing. When I have a credit card with a federal credit union and when that card was added to my credit report it didn't go down at all. So I would not recommend anyone with a low credit score to get their service it will only hurt your credit and that's not what anyone who is trying to build credit needs.

Credit Sesame is a straightforward credit service that helps you protect your credit scores and manage your debt. the app is easy to use and they don't spam you to death like many other "free" services.

As a financial advisor, I was looking for someplace really great to send clients who want to check the credit bureaus and stay on top of everything. I went there myself to check it out and was completely surprised to see that it’s really just the website trying to sell people credit cards and credit repair services. I actually put in no way shape or form access my real credit bureau through their website. If that was an oversight that I apologize and I feel like I spent an hour searching every page of the website thoroughly and I would come up with information extrapolated from my credit bureau I could not actually access my credit bureau and see all of the information. Furthermore in order to actually access my credit bureaus they did require a credit card. Although they did say you would have seven days to look at it before they would charge you which was a pretty substantial fee then and monthly reoccurring! I believe it would’ve total about $360 a year. There was definitely not anything offering a free credit bureau as they advertise. I hope the Attorney General will get hold of them and stop this pretty soon because it was frustrating to me because I wanted something good and thorough to refer clients to and feel like they were being taken care of not being taken advantage of.

I've been using Credit Sesame and Credit Karma for at least 15 years I always thought these were decent reputable services. But apparently since they have gotten so big they prefer to bother you to get more credit cards and take out more personal loans and it doesn't help your credit score in the least. How can you pay your credit usage down by 3% make all your payments on time and actually lose 10 points what's a waste have a credit card offer or loan offer they want you to take up or sign up for their premium service which I'm sure is not better than their free service but at least they'll get more money out of you every month

I would strongly advise anyone that is relying on credit seasame, to give you good strong sound advice in rebuilding your credit, to proceed with extreme caution. When they encourage you to keep getting cc do not follow that advice. I would probably be a lot further along, in the rebuilding of my credit, had I not listened to credit sesame
