Could not log on to my account so called customer service. Waited and waited before getting an agent. When I did she was an idiot. Could not hear her; only faintly. Finally understood that I had a fraudulent $38 dollar charge. Rather than refusing it, she cancelled my card and said she was mailing me a new one in a few days. She would not call me back so that I could hear her. I am going to apply for a new card with another company so that I never have to deal with anyone from VISA again. I know I am wasting time as other complainers have already told me that Iam wasting my time.
I have never missed a payment with all my other credit cards, but with this card for a year already missed payment twice, each time missed due day by two days. Why? they missed sending the monthly statement notification through email. The first time I thought maybe it was somehow my fault, and started watching. The second time I am sure there was no email notification. If you miss a payment they charge a hefty fee plus interests, effectively negated the 2% cash back. I will not be using this card anymore. Very disappointed as I have been a Fidelity brokerage customer.
This card will HURT your credit. I paid off the card with a loan to reduce my usage and try to get into a property. Elan financial who issues the card reduced my credit limit bringing up my usage to 80% from 11%. This was the second time they have done this so I closed the account and paid it off immediately. If you want a stable credit score, this is NOT THE CARD FOR YOU.
This is a great card but they lie to you about their zero APR promos and their customer support usually has no idea what they are talking about. There are other 2% back cards, I might consider those instead.
Awful customer service. The service rep was yelling at me for asking how much fees they have charged me over the last year. She was trying to "educate me and make me understand" why I got charged 20% APR over two months even though my account was on auto-pay. Horrible!!!
Terrible customer service and process management. I am trying to close a credit card as a POA and have faxed the required information numerous times. They keep giving me different addresses to fax the documents to and/or they cannot find the documents. Finally, after 5 attempts they acknowledge the documents have been received but still refuse to close the credit card. It is sad because the card isn't even being used anymore. Honestly don't know how they make money and the service is the complete opposite from the service we receive from Fidelity Services (who are top notch). Guess will just keep the account open forever.
Though cashback is great, I wouldn't use it as customer care doesn't resolve your issues whether it's with rewards or disputed transactions. The answer is "it's done and nothing can be done". I lost >200$ because customer care mentioned that it's done and nothing can be done even though I reported the case as soon as I could
One could say it was my fault, but all I did was take advantage of the 0% no-interest for 15 minutes offer. Issue began after I was stopped from making a purchase. I called and unsuccessfully tried to get the fraud alert removed. Next day, some "senior risk analyst" decides to close my account - apparently utilizing a high portion of my credit limit made me at risk. How can you close the account without giving me a chance to address the concerns? I've been making payments on time, paying down large sums before making another purchase. I could've paid off the entire balance the same day to prove it! You could've reduced my credit limit if I were a potential risk. Manager was useless - stated nothing can be done once it has been closed. Sadly, now I have an account closed after only 5 months on my credit score. But staying positive, thank you for the $600 in cash back and 0% interest.
Fidelity sent us a credit card offer even though we took all but 3 cents in our accounts. We applied for the Fidelity card just to get two percent rewards. In ten days or so we got a letter stating they could not approve us due to limited credit experience. I find this BS because we are 71 years old. If I recall correctly we were born and working before the advent of credit cards!
I've used this card recently and Elan Financial still has terrible customer support. They deny legitimate charges without any text or email warning. Then when you dispute a charge they take forever to investigate and DENY YOUR CLAIM! Finally going to cancel this POS. This experience makes me question my whole Fidelity relationship. Vanguard would never do business with a lousy outfit like Elan.
