I really like First Commonwealth and have always had a good experience with them. They are a smaller bank than most bigger and well known ones, and in my eyes, they have provided superior customer service compared to all other banks. I have never had an issue with them and felt that I was always treated kindly and with respect. I also have less than perfect credit, and they approved me for a small personal loan. They were extremely helpful in helping me obtain this loan. I have since paid the loan off and continue to use them for the majority of all of my banking services. I highly recommend using this customer friendly bank.

I have been a member of First Commonwealth bank for going on 5 years and have not had a problem until this past year. If I were writing this review a couple years ago, I would have nothing negative to say about this institution. First of all, they are proficient in processing checks and online transactions, but lack when it comes to overdrafts and ATM withdrawals. The only time you will not be charged to use an ATM is if it is one from First Commonwealth, meaning that even the "no surcharge" ATMs can and will still be charged $2.50 to your account for using them. I also have over-drafted once in my life and was charged $35 the first day (over-drafted by less than a dollar) and charged $8 for every subsequent day. Other than these few discrepancies, this is a very friendly and efficient institution. Before this account I had a PNC account, and in my opinion, is just below this on the good banking scale.
I have been using this bank for about 6 years now. At first, I didn't have many problems with it. Then within the last two years, my account has been compromised three times. I've had to go as far as closing my account and reopening a new one. The bank has admitted that it was their fault, every time. The last time this happened, they also lost 3 of my debit cards before I even had one sent. I remain with this bank for now, as it is the most popular in my area and has the most cashpoints, but if there are more mix ups I will be finding a different bank.
I've been a member of First Commonwealth in New Castle, PA for a few years now. They always show the utmost respect for me every time I go into the bank. They treat me professionally, but also show me a personal touch. They greet me by name, and do everything in their power to make sure I'm satisfied with my service. They usually have enough tellers working to ensure that everyone is getting taking care in a timely fashion, and the managers are always available to talk to immediately if the teller isn't able to answer your questions. I am very satisfied with them, and would recommend them to anyone looking for a bank.
