Geoffrey previously worked at Merrill Lynch until Merrill Lynch became part of Bank of America.
He left a message for me shortly after saying that he was now going to be at Ameriprise. I then transferred my account to have Geoff be my advisor AGAIN. (Side note-while at Merrill there were times he would take forever to call me back. He was noncommunicative and I felt like I was a burden being his client. I remember that even though he had my number he called another client instead when he and I had an appointment after 4pm on that day. Good thing I called to confirm our appointment or else I would have wasted my time & gasoline driving for nothing & he would not be there).
Anyway while being an Ameriprise client Geoff would always say that he had to postpone our appointment due to family issues. Something always came up and he called the day before or the day of to let me know. It was happening a lot.
One day Delonna Hopler, the office manager or something like that, called me to ask how Ameriprise's service was so I was given the opportunity to say it. I told her that Geoff calls me to postpone our appointments due to family issues. I told her that this happens often: that each time I have an appointment he has other things to attend to. I don't feel like he puts the client's needs first and I would only meet with Geoff on a monthly basis, not like it's every week.
She said she would talk to Geoff about it but yet the problem kept going on.
One day I called Delonna again to let her know the same thing was happening. Later I found out from Geoff that he was in her office and my number flashed on Delonna's office phone. He was upset at me that I called her to make a legitimate complaint due to him always postponing our appointment. I was taken back by him telling me that he saw my number.
I would not have had to call Delonna if Geoff had just kept our appointmentsin the first place instead of always having family issues come up!
