Biggest rip off there is. Idk how greendot gets away with robbing people like they do. I bought a card cause I needed 20$ on a debit card. After buying the actual card then paying to load the 20$ on the card it cost me just under 30$. I leave the store and try everyday possible to activate it and it kept saying card not valid. 2 days later I get it to finally work and they charge me a 8$ monthly fee instantly. So my 30$ turned into 12$
Stimulus money sent by IRS to Green Dot bank. 1 1/2 years later can't get our $. Terrible customer service. Everyone passes the buck to someone else and never seems to listen!!! $2400.00 lost!

Thank you I’ve had a dream that for a very long time and I’ve never really use them until the other day and of mine and I were trying to book an Airbnb. Together we loaded $1100 onto his green dot card. Linda immediately flagged this account for fraud and placed a hold on it he then called and that the holes taken off and transferred $600 to my Green Dot account. All of a sudden his account once again frozen play Sun home as mine was now frozen and placed on hold I sent them the necessary documents that they asked for which was the front and back of my drivers license and upon submitting that they closed my account still with my $1100 in the account green that is a crappy crappy company don’t waste your time
Purchased greendot reloadable card on 9/11/2022 loaded $150 from Walgreens but was not able to activate card after purchase, reached out to customer support as soon as I tried to activate card and was told card was no good that I needed to send the documentation/images of the actual card, card purchase, my identification and utility bill as they requested I sent all information to the email they provided only to have them tell me case closed and no refund would be issued. So I am out $150 not to mention all the headaches back and faith customer service. They sell fraudulent bank cards.....
100% scam. After purchasing a card was never able to activate it. Was told fraud had occurred on the card, zero refund. Scam. Avoid at all costs. After speaking to multiple overseas call centers was told nothing could be done and to contact law enforcement. Any dollar you give Green Dot Corp you will never get back.

Terrible customer service put $450 on it cuz I lost my debit card just to pay my bills for the week couldn't activate the card when I got home couldn't register can't talk no way they hang up on you can't get through to the number but nothing but a robot absolute freaking nightmare still trying to figure this out
Please don't bother! I put $100 on it and customer service says it was activated by someone else! They wouldn't refund me and said I should file a police report! Personally I think it's an inside job with one of their employees! And I'm out $100! Please don't bother!!!
Worst customer service ever. I’d give it -10000000000000000” stars, They hang up in your face when they have no excuses 600.00 of my money and say they can’t do nothing for 10-14 days, no reason just oops our bad, so sorry this happened but sucks to be you just gotta wait. I will cut this SOB in a thousand pieces after I change my direct deposit to a real bank and they can go to H E double hockey sticks. Hope the go bankrupt.
I would give them 0 stars if I could. I bought the card because the packaging says you can make international transactions for a small fee. After receiving my permanent card I tried to make an international payment and it was denied. They told me they don't allow that regardless of what the package says. It also states that the monthly fee will not be taken out until after the first use. However they took mine out immediately even though I had never used the card. I told them that the packaging is false advertisement and grounds for a law suit. I demanded the fee they took out be put back in. It took a lot of arguing and threatening to sue before they agreed to wave the monthly fee. I will still have to pay the ATM fee to get my money out though. Please do not use this company for anything. You can't even call them. If you try it says "our customer service is unavailable" no matter when you call. I had to use the chat service but even that is difficult. They end the chat before ever answering you 90% of the time!
The fees for the Green Dot prepaid card are as follows: a monthly fee of $7.95, an ATM or teller cash withdrawal fee of $3, and a $5.95 cash reload fee. There is also an ATM balance inquiry fee of $0.5. Plus, if you lose your card and need to replace it, you will be charged a $5 fee.
You cannot transfer money from your Green Dot card if you reported it stolen. Once you report the card to be stolen, Green Dot blocks it and issues you another one. Your balance is automatically transferred on the new card.
