Completely GARBAGE insurance company. Failed to disclose I would have a waiting period when converting from my employer plan to an individual plan. Denied my claims and refused to flat cancel policy backdated to inception after I made this known to them. Took my money simply to deny my claims. Filing an appeal was a complete joke and waste of my time. This company could care less about its policyholders. If I, a FULLY LICENSED INSURANCE AGENT NATIONAL PRODUCER, am telling you to steer clear of this crappy company... You should absolutely heed the warning.

In getting right to the point, My spouse & I enrolled for a dental plan the beginning of the year 2021. All payments were withdrawn automatically from our checking account. I (Anthony) had only one cleaning performed that was it, then another appointment was set for April 2022. The day prior to the cleaning my Dentist's office calls me & informs me that my plan showed inactive. I immediately called Delta Dental to investigate as to what transpired only to find out that they terminated my plan in January of 2022, stating that the plan expired. I almost lost it. Just for the record, I never received a single phoe call, no e-mails, no texts pertaining to the termination, yet Delta Dental stated that they did. If they did, why would they stop withdrawing the monthly fees?. No spam, no junk mail, nothing period. The representative stated that by sending another payment by mail that would reinstate the account and cannot be performed by phone, talking about an inconvenience and serious frustration. That was just the beginning. A check was sent with a cover letter documentaing my frustration and the serious lack of communication. Never heard of anyone. I looked at my checking account, the check had been cashed and still no communication, I checked the website, it showed that I did not have a plan with Delta Dental, SERIOUSLY!!! I called again on 05/11/2022 spoke to (7) different individuals trying to retain my professionalism and composure, I was informed by the third person that I had to send an additional (4) more payments to get reinstated. (Unbeleivable). I asked why is it that my check was cashed 9 days ago , yet no one contacted me at all pertaining to the additional payments, another person (Kathy) Just hung up on me. I asked that my check be refunded and wanted nothing to do with Delta Dental any longer, only to find out that my check would be refunded but it will take approximately three weeks to receive. Takes 2 minutes to cash the check and three weeks to get it back that is if it is sent in three weeks. THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST COMPANY I HAD EVER DONE BUSINESS WITH. DELTA DENTAL IS ABSOLUTELY NOT CONSUMER FRIENDLY AT ALL AND DO NOT CARE ABOUT THER CUSTOMERS PERIOD. IF I COULD RATE THEM AS ZERO STARTS I WOULD HAVE DONE SO. STAY AWAY FROM DELTA DENTAL.

They are the most unresponsive company I have ever dealt with. I have been trying to get ahold of them regarding my account for a year now. It's completely ridiculous. I would NOT recommend this company. Terrible customer service and their website is terrible!

Horrid dental insurance ! absolutely the worst experience I’ve had with any insurance company. Signed up through AARP don’t do it! Automatic payment system was a mistake from the beginning took more than what they were supposed to take from my checking account. Had the date of insurance wrong for starting. Never could get back on automatic payment through my checking . never seemed to work had to call and make payments monthly system would not allow me to make payments 90% of the time . just unbelievable rude customer service or confused workers only work here. After struggling to make seven payments and having this insurance for eight months I have decided not to renew my policy. Management and supervisors will not call you back on any issues you will have to take matters into your own hands through automatic system or calling to speak to a customer service rep 90% of the time they are not going to know how to help you this is just pure garbage. An absolute nightmare from start to finish can’t wait to be done with Delta dental

Delta Dental, paid $21 out of the first $250 dentist's bill, then paid $83 out of a second $387 bill. These were standard, cavity repair procedures. Nothing special. I tried to contact DD before hand but could not speak with a human being, so I just went for it and had the procedures done. Please, do not use Delta Dental. They are a rip off.

Delta Dental is the most horrible dental plan. I had them over 8 years with my current employer. never had a problem until I switched employers, then all of a sudden, they stated that my dentist is out of network. They refused to pay for dental services over five thousand dollars! They are garbage and I would ever recommend them to anyway. Use them at your own risk!!

I do not recommend Delta Dental Dental Insurance Plans. In order to upgrade my coverage I was informed by an agent (Jeremy) that I would immediately be covered by the new plan due to the fact I had been covered since 2017. I was then switched over to a new agent to upgrade my plan. After almost a 2 hour wait I spoke with another agent (George) to have my plan upgraded. I was told that I would incur another waiting period of 6 to 12months for certain procedures. I immediately canceled the entire plan due to continued misinformation.

Thought something was up when I hadn’t received a confirmation email about my plan purchase. Then after almost 2 weeks, I receive a bill. But when I got to pay my bill due the next day after I received the mail invoice, I can’t log in to my account because my account number is invalid , or they can’t find my account. Hmmm, didn’t I already pay and enter all the required information? I called myself researching before I bought , but enough is never enough it seems. Be WARY of this company, they don’t appear to be what they seem.

Really hate them. I spent hours just to cancel auto payment. They randomly locked my account, and I'm still trying to get through the call customer service that barely works. Never subscribe there on automatic payments.

i had chosen dental 08.2021. I could not use since the offered dentis doesnt work with them,or the insurance just cancel on. we lost 4months and could never get dental services. tooth broke and had to do surgery somewhere else out of pocet. I called and escalating team,woman in her 60s she sound, she was like an evil,hate her job and support or listen costumers.very mean, very disrespectfull. hate this and ruin my health and energy. NEVER BUY
