Stay away! I would have given them less than one star if I could.
DentaTrust has been extremely difficult and non-responsive. There isn't enough room here to list all of the problems.

Stay away from this company. My son signed up and called to confirm eligibility for a dental procedure prior to his appointment. He was assured several times that he was good to go. However when it was time to submit the receipts for reimbursement, they stated he wasn't eligible.
We tried to contact them but they stopped replying.
Red flags everywhere! Steer clear!

One hand doesn't know what the other hand is doing. No communication what so ever with bills due or bills paid. The website doesn't work half the time. And if you miss a payment, you still can't pay more than the current amount.

i have had nothing but poor service and bad experiences with dentaquest. if another option was available I would take it. Don't think I could get a worse dental plan.

They cancelled my plan on the day it started and then lied -- I got coverage that was supposed to start February 1st. Then Received a letter saying that my coverage was canceled on February 1st due to non payment. You might be wondering, how was my plan canceled on the same day it started because of non-payment? How does that make any sense? I never received an email from them that included an invoice or asked me to pay any missing amount. Nor did I receive anything in the mail with an invoice. I called to ask why it was cancelled, they said they didn't do it and they didn't know why it was cancelled - they said the Market Place did the cancelling. Called Market Place, they said DentaQuest was the one who cancelled it. Called DentaQuest, they then suddenly claimed they could tell me why it was cancelled and that it was because I missed a payment. (A payment they never attempted to contact me about in any way.) They lied and told me that they did send an email invoice. There is no invoice to be found. I asked the rep to show me the evidence that they sent an email, she said she would send it. Still haven't ever received that email evidence. Do not get coverage with this company

I agree with the 67 reviews that I read prior to me writing my review. Yes, Dentaquest is a crooked insurance and must be stopped. This review is to try and reach all my peers who are seniors who have managed care and a dual plan under Dentaquest and Healthfirst. Their rosters of dentists are bad actors and consistently try and steal money from seniors and destroy our teeth in the process. I am walking around with missing teeth, broken dentures, and damaged implants, and am having trouble eating any real food. I happen to be a professional activist and organizer and would like to know how many seniors feel the way I do. If so, I am proposing we start a class action suit against Denquest and throw in Healthfirst if necessary. If you are interested like this review and email me at [email protected] to discuss further. Dentaquest is the biggest fraud! On March 5th, 2022 I contacted them to verify that a dentist is within network. Agent didn't do a thorough job and claim that the dentist is within network. After receiving their bill, I discovered that the dentist is not within network! Called them to complain and they denied any wrong doing. Received letters from people with names of Eartha Carrington, Yerilda Somoza and their numbers don't work and their names do not exist when I called their corporate office. This company is a complete SCAM!! Reported them to Office of Commissioner of Insurance and Liability in GA for fraud, lies, deception and more. They claim that the conversation on March 5th never took place. Yet, my cell phone records show it did! They lied to me and the department. Save your money and go with another carrier. Dentaquest is inept, incompetent, fraudulent and full of lies!

The reps lied and said if I paid them for 6 months, they'd cover 50 percent of services. I paid my premiums, uninterrupted, no lapse for 2 YEARS STRAIGHT. Picked an in network dentist. I called just to be sure it was covered. Rep said "yes". Dentist office called to verify. They also told the dentist office it was covered. Got x-rays, a cleaning, one root canal done. Paid my 50 percent. Well, my dentist office called me and said they NEVER received any payment at all, for ANY of the services. The insurance part was supposed to be 1300 dollars. They sent my dentist a check for 13 DOLLARS AND THAT WAS IT! So basically, I paid this rip off company for 2 years and received NOTHING.

Terrible company. My dentist sent written documentation stating the dental need for my son to have braces. DentaQuest denied it. I appealed by sending a fax. After 2 months, I have called 3 times and emailed a supervisor named Sheila Schmidt and have had no contact back. I called today only to be told after 60 days the appeal is no longer valid. Such a terrible company!

Scam company, scam artists, scam "ghost" dentist (DentaQuest has 3 different pieces of information regarding coverage, dentists). Shameful, waste of my time and energy trying to get my cracked tooth fixed. They take money from Medicaid but do not offer anything in return.
