Speaking as a physician, I regard Molina as the WORST insurer I have ever dealt with. They deny coverage for almost everything, then they make it IMPOSSIBLE to appeal. I'm not exaggerating. I recently prescribed a medication for a patient. It is a standard drug & was prescribed for an FDA-approved indication. Not only did they deny coverage, but when I tried to obtain Prior Authorization, I submitted a request form on-line 3 separate times, & then I called their toll-free numbers no fewer than 8 times. Each time, the person I spoke to (after a long hold) told me that they couldn't help me, but that they'd transfer me to someone who could help, & then they disconnected my call. Obviously, no one in this company gives a damn about patients. My advice to anyone who cares: Do NOT get insurance from Molina; if you do, you'll be sorry.

Molina Healthcare provider of MyCare Ohio dual options is outstanding company to make you feel like a junk. The biggest problem is to talk to case manager life; it is not possible because they are busy, - they hiding from us because every call is a problem and they must to answer this call, so better pretend We are busy. I call I leave message Monday and if I lucky Friday case worker will call me back if I am not so lucky worker never calling back. If I have urgent problem I cannot count on Molina I know resolving will take a month. I request list of PCP doctors in my area who accept Molina, I got three pages of a printed text; I called every near by doctors office - they Not at listed addresses near me, they are in other city areas, some of them not accepting Molina. For years I have a problem with home-delivery meals company, this problem cannot be resolved because meal delivery company ignoring Molina, even Molina paying for this service. These examples is to show quality of Molina workers.

These people literally laughed at my husband who has COPD and congestive heart failure so it's hard for him to speak sometimes due to shortness of breath "Vanessa" laughed placed him on hold and he asked for her supervisor..she then proceeded to yell that she wasn't laughing her exact words were "FIRST OF ALL! IM NOT LAUGHING AT YOU SO DONT LIE ON ME AND YOU HAVE A BETTER DAY! mind you she then placed him on hold while he was still talking and then an equally rude woman who I assume is her friend got online and kept asking him if he was who he said he was. I'm so upset he went through this. They need to stop hiring ghetto customer service agents who don't know how to respect their sick and elderly clients.

Ever since Molina bought Affinity I am literally denied everything even when I'm told they take my insurance. After I got out of the hospital Molina called me to say don't worry you're covered, only to turn around and deny every one of the claims despite the hospital taking their insurance. Every time they blame it on the doctor's paper work. I guess not a single doctor, hospital or anyone else can fill out the paperwork and now I have a $27,000 bill from a hospital that takes my insurance. Thanks for nothing Molina.

The Customer member service is the absolute worse I’ve ever encountered. Once I’m reached with a representative and I tell them what I need help with they end up hanging up on me every single time very frustrating don’t choose Molina !!

The health care offered by this insurance company, if you can call it that, is non-existent. They don't even know if the doctor that they assigned you can even see you or not. The doctor that is assigned to you doesn't work at the clinic that they are supposed to work at. The clinic blames Molina. Molina blames the clinic. Nobody knows what is going on. This "insurance company" is a joke.

I would give zero! absolute worse! On the website for the portal of finding doctors, all the doctors declined the insurance! then they blame it on the doctor stating that they did not upgrade their info on their system. And nobody takes responsibility for no doctors being available but yet you want me to have this insurance that I cannot get service with makes no sense at all don't waste your time

Stay away of this insurance if you want to be happy..after 11 years with them without any issues, now after Molina healthcare bought Affinity, everything is really bad, they tried twice to cut my special needs daughter home care hours, even when a court made a decision in favor of my daughter..

Terrible company. They make sure that they torture the senior citizen by not providing the services they need and qualify for. I made a biggest mistake by going with this plan for my dad and now he is stuck with this. I would really like to know if there is a way for me to report them to Medicare or Medicaid so this company can be blocked.
I did too! But I never got a letter about it. I found out just yesterday at my doctor's appointment that my primary care provider (Intermountain Healthcare) could no longer see me because I was switched to Molina (unknowingly). I was told that Intermountain Healthcare applied to be in Molina's network but was NOT approved. I don't know what to do as I was in the middle of seeing specialists who I need referrals to see and the switch to Molina (without my consent) has caused me to need new referrals as the old ones are under the prior insurance (health plan of nevada); which I used to have. But the dilemma is I can't get new renewals until I choose a NEW primary care provider under Molina; which did not approve Intermountain Healthcare application to be in their network. I was also told that those who are with Molina now were supposedly randomly selected (without their knowledge) to be switched to Molina since every new insurance NV Medicaid takes on has to have clients evenly distributed to then. I never selected to be apart of that but was told by a NV Medicaid rep that pretty much that is what I get for having state government provided insurance. That's what I get for being low income basically!!
